I also recommend a pre-purchase. Salt Lake City's world cup in Feb did actually sell out. If you are traveling for the event, it would make you extremely sad to get there and not be able to attend

different area, it's recommended you purchase them ahead of time. Last
years nationals at Salt Lake City, you had a choice between the VIP
tickets and the regular seating (we recomend the vip, general seating
wasn't all that hot last year)
This year's Nationals will be in St Louis, so it's a whole new ball
game.
Gerenal seating was around $15, VIP's were around $45. That may be
different this year. Just giving you an idea.
