ADMIRALS TO HOST LOCAL CELEBRITY HOCKEY GAME TO BENEFIT AMERICAN
CANCER SOCIETY
NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals are teaming up with the City of
Norfolk and the Norfolk Sheriff's Office to bring fans a Celebrity
Hockey Game to benefit the American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life"
on Saturday, April 8th.
Local celebrities, including Norfolk's Sheriff McCabe and Councilman
Randy Wright, and former Hampton Roads Admirals "Rocket" Rod Taylor
and "The Original Admiral" Dennis McEwen, will lace up their skates to
face off in a pre-Admirals game charity event at Scope.
Other Hampton Roads personalities who will participate in the
celebrity game include: FM99 WNOR's Tommy & Rumble and Jason "The
Sports Guy", 96X WROX's Mike & Bob, 93.7 The Eagle's Diane Letterman,
101.3 2WD's Ted Alexander, Z-104's Nick Taylor, 106.9 The Fox's Dave
Taylor, 92.9 The Wave's Cindy Crawford, WVEC TV-13's Scott Cash and
Lasalle Blanks, and WTKR TV-3's Troy Brettson and Mike Mather.
Discounted tickets for this event are available for just $10 in the
red seating level, with $2 to be donated to the American Cancer
Society's "Relay For Life" for each ticket sold. Tickets include
admission to both the celebrity game as well as the Admirals' contest
against the Hershey Bears later that evening.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with the celebrity game getting underway at
5:30 p.m. The Admirals' game follows, with faceoff at 7:15 p.m.

contacting any American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life" team, by
calling the American Cancer Society at (757) 852-4111 or by calling
the Admirals' office at (757) 640-1212.
The discounted tickets will not be available at the door or through
Ticketmaster, and must be purchased by close of business on Friday,
April 7th.
"Relay For Life" is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate
survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your
American Cancer Society.
