A demon loose in the land

I can't do it. Finally, something has frozen my fingers on the
keyboard and Ican't find the words. This particular column has been
started and thrown out adozen times. I have a bottomless pit of
words, as anybody who knows me canattest, and now I can't find the
good ones. So, I'm starting over again. Thistime, throwing away all
other attempts at good writing, I'm just going to let goand let it
pour out.

As you may know, new pictures have been released from Abu Ghraib.
They arehorrible, but what has my heart writhing in pain is the
narrative. In this link,in addition to some pictures, is the story of
two men. One, an American soldierwho was told to serve at Abu Ghraib,
the other an innocent Iraqi man who wastortured.
