We are starting a Badminton Social Club for our local badminton families and
friends. Many people would like to have non-competitive, fun social events for
the not-so-professional players; therefore, we will organize events to meet this
need. Please spread the news to help this club grow.
Our first event will be "Thanksgiving Family Social Event." This event is
designed for parent/child pairs only. We will match you for the mixer games
based on the average skill level of your team members.
An entrance fee of $5 per person or $15 per family will be collected at the
door. Cash or Check only. The entrance fee will include fees for court rentals,
snacks, and drinks. The food and/or snack selections will depend on the
turnout. Fee will be waived for volunteers.
We are accepting food donations on location for the Food Bank for Thanksgiving,
and we encourage you to help put food on the table for families in need during
this holiday season by bringing canned and/or dried foods.

By the way, we need volunteers to help out on different tasks during the tournament. If you or your friends/family members are interested in helping out, please contact me in email or phone (listed above).

Hi everyone,
Thank you to all that responded to our earlier email below and for your
understanding.
Based on the two alternatives that we had available to us, Oct 03-04 was the
choice of the majority and I've attached the updated registration.
For those of you who already have their registrations in and don't have any
changes to your events or partners, you don't have to do anything. For those
with changes, please either email me your changes or resubmit your form so that
we have the right partners. For those that can't make the Oct 03-04 date, I am
really sorry for the inconvenience. Please shoot me an email and we will either
rip up your check/s or send them back to you based on what you tell us to do.
Also, if you have any hotel reservations, please be sure to cancel or change
them.
You can download the latest entry from:

Thanks again for your understanding.

have an interest in playing golf on Fri, please let me know asap so
that Tee times can be booked. This will be an informal but fun time to
get to meet some of the other players outside the court.

We want to clarify some of the questions people asked about what is the
difference between this clinic and the one hosted on last October. This clinic
is the extension of the first one. This time Tony, Halim, and Howard will focus
more tactics and strategy for improving your game and there are more
interactions with the coaches. It is suitable for intermediate and advanced
players. We are still accepting registration. Please see the form at:

We are going to play in this badminton tournament to raise fund for Kin On Health Care Center. We will be at Spartan Recreation Center, 18560 First Avenue NE, Shoreline, WA98155 on Saturday 7/18/2009 from 9:00am to 6pm. This tournament is in "team" format. Thank you notes
The 2009 Washington State Games Badminton Tournament went smoothly over the
weekend 6/26 6/28.There were over 150 players participated in this year's
tournament at Bellevue Badminton Club.
Thanks to the continue support of players from Vancouver/BC, there're new faces
that came to the tournament. It is through good competition that we can all
improve and promote the sport of badminton in our region.
We offered the online entry option on tournamentsoftware.com. It turned out to
be a great option for the out of town players. Hopefully, this will make it
much easier for our out of town players in all our future tournaments. Results
are posted on www.tournamentsoftware.com as well.
Some photos taken during the tournament are available:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/clintonc111/sets/72157620561982055/
At times, it seems like we will never get done with all the matches with only 5
courts available at the club. Thanks to all the players' patience and
cooperation that we were able to finish all our matches. Though Friday night
went a little late for some of you, please accept my sincere apology. The good
news is that the Club is expanding with the addition of 5 more courts next door
in July. Hopefully, we can take advantage of the expansion in our future
tournament.
Many thanks to all the volunteers (or being volunteered) who helped out
throughout the tournament, without your help, the tournament would not be
successful.
Special thanks to my tournament co-director Katherine Ip who guided and
checked with me every steps of the way to make sure the tournament is a success.
Hope to see you again next year!
