Just to remind everyone that the deadline for BCD Tournament is coming
up, November 4th.

We also just had the Junior tournament over the weekend,
the result will be posted on northwestbadminton.org.

WSBA Junior Tournament Ranking Circuit #3
Bellevue Badminton Club, October 27, 2007

Note of Thanks

The third WSBA junior tournament in 2007 was held at the Bellevue
Badminton Club on Saturday, October 27. There are 51 entries for the
tournament, not bad! Two of the players were sick and could not
attend. Hope you feel better now, Nathaniel Li and Adrian Unruh. I
would like to thank their parents for calling me the day before so
that I can make arrangement for their partners.

The most striking thing I saw this tournament was the improvements of
the players, Vicky, Jasmine, Jillian, Jessica, Jeremy, Clara, Renata,
Alex, Kevin and everyone ….. (sorry, there are so many of you that I
can't name all). Just a few months from our Junior Championship in
April, their footwork, power and consistency were so much improved.
Keep up the good work, Coaches - Brooke (you are being missed), Paz,
Kenny, Wendy and Eric. It won't be very long before we have a
national junior champion from Washington.

You may have the question about Ranking Circuit #3. To explain, we
use the result of each of the ranking circuit tournaments to rank the
players. The top 2 players of each age group, together with coach
recommendation, will be invited to a training camp at year end.

This is the first time we have a Dri Fit tournament T-Shirt. Clinton,
We beat you ……. hehe… Though the design is simple, I hope you all
like it.

Once again, we have more door prizes than players. Thanks Eric Lee
for procuring all the Yonex items, including an Armortec 900 Power
racket for raffle (won by Jared Lai), hats, T-shirts, strings, grips,
backpack, racket bags for door prizes and AS20 shuttlecocks for the
tournament.

I can never thank the people below enough. Really, without their help
and support, the tournament can never be run as smoothly as it is now.
