I want to thank everyone for helping make the 66th Washington State Open
once again a terrific tournament. As always, those of us involved in
running the tournament know there are things we can do to improve.
Still, for most participants it was an enjoyable experience.
Without the assistance of a number volunteers, we could never pull this
off.
I especially want to thank the following, and if I've left anyone out,
please excuse me.
Al Allott and Wayne Main for setting up the nets on the three auxiliary
courts.
Annie Poh for working with the Pro Club to see that facility was
available for badminton.
Li Qian for data entry for the computerized draw sheets.
Rene and Kerry Delony for registration Friday night and Saturday.
Kale and Alice Fong for registration Saturday afternoon and dinner
reception Saturday night.
Jennie Chan for designing the medals and t-shirts.
Rena Wong for an outstanding job running the starter's desk and Al
Allott and Carla Furukawa for helping her.
Alice Liem for making the sandwiches and helping with the food in
general.
Hentley Liem for managing the entries along with help from Kale and
Alice Fong. Hentley also for taking care of ordering the t-shirts and
medals and getting the food.
Clinton Chen, Kin Trong, Carla Furukawa, Hentley Liem, Alice Liem and
Annie Poh for cleaning up.
Clinton Chen for hosting an out-of-town visitor.
I hope to have the results out electronically in a few days.
