The Junior Summer Blast Tournament was held on Saturday 8/26 at the
Bellevue Badminton Club. The weather was extremely nice outside,
which left us fairly hot in the gym. Our strategy of starting early
in the morning works well. We only have to pull the roller shutter up
once at around 2pm in the afternoon. The whole tournament took about
8 hours. This is the first time we have the rally point system.
Lucky enough, we have Ufilya Davis (Certified National Umpire) to give
our volunteers a fast umpiring course the night before. All games
went very well.

We have 5 players from Spokane and Idaho this time and each of them
went home with a door prize (5 out of a total of 12 door prizes) and
many medals!
