Region 4 Classic information now available
Eric Lee and his tournament committee have done a great job in setting up
the Region 4 Classic to be held in Spokane on Oct 8-10. With $6000 of prize
money, there is sure to be a big turnout. So, get your entry in and support

Word from Region 4 Director
Region 4 funding is available, if your club is part of USAB, then you are
eligible to request discretionary funds to be used to promote grassroots
badminton in your area(i.e. coaching, equipment etc). Please submit requests
to Alan Mills - region4director@...
The Fall 2004 USAB Board Meeting will be held Sept 25 at the U.S. Open. This
is our chance for Region 4 to raise issues and suggestions to USAB. If you
have anything that you would like raise, please contact Alan Mills.
We are still seek people willing to help set up a Region 4 Committee that
will deal with finances, region activities, coaching, juniors, tournaments
etc. If you want to help, please contact Alan Mills.
Badminton and Media
Olympic games is just round the corner. Bravo will be covering the badminton
events. Go to NWBA website to find out when it will be on and read all the
badminton articles that have recently been published in the media!
Newsletter and Website Survey
Many members have spent time and effort creating the NWBA website and
continually trying to update and improve on how to help the rest of
the Region 4 promote badminton. But we need feedback/input from the members
to continue this effort. Any comments and suggestions are most welcome via
email(you can just reply to this newsletter) or thru our guestbook.
We also would appreciate some article contribution from members within
Region 4. For example: have you recently attended a tournament, send us
a report about the event.

friendly badminton players (and beyond) in North America (and beyond
too). This egroup will help gay and gay-friendly badminton players
to exchange information, make friends, find playing partners, etc.
It hopes to promote the sport of badminton, develop skills and
provide a fun and friendly playing environment.
