There is a rumor that Hockey gloves are no longer allowed for legal
hand protection.
Gauntlets are now required instead.
Since we will be making our own Gauntlets, this should not be an
issue.

On behalf of our autocrat,
Just a little change of plans to announce. Unfortunately we will not
be able to get ramada 2. We will be in the Navy area.
Also, please everyone bring tables and definitely don't forget your
feast gear (the disposable kind is acceptable) for the feast. Please
bring firewood also. We do have a fire pit available for us but a
definite lack of firewood.
Everyone please remember to bring your sun screen, drinking water,
food for Friday night and Saturday and Sunday during the day. Bring
clothes that you don't mind getting wet. I'm sure water sports will
be involved in this event in one way or another. It is mosquito
season and, as someone who has spent three out of the last four
weekends out there, the mosquitos are pretty bad. Bring your OFF or
other bug repellent.
To fill out some of the other information:
The site fee for House Steadfast and Clan Haven is donation only. At
least for House Steadfast, it does not have to me monetary. I was
asked tonight if canned goods would be acceptable. I said yes,
that's just a donation toward the War kitchen.
The tournaments for House Steadfast and Clan Haven are to be piggy-
backed. Explanations will be given at the event.
The lists open promptly at 10:00 am on Saturday and the list for each
tournament will close 30 minutes prior to the start of each
tournament.
Bring your friends and family. The more, the merrier. Be prepared
to have lots of fun, good fellowship, great food and lots of
relaxation.
YIS,
Gwyndolyn Steadfast

Greetings!
This is just to let you know there is an event 4/26/03.
Unbeknownst to the event coordinators, The school will be having its
own tournament within the event.
The following are the rules of the tournament:
1. All activities are to be reported by either:
a. 2 students
b. Any one Instructor.
2. ANY solicitation on the recipients part:
a. Will void the report
b. Will void any points that would be awarded.
3. Points will be awarded for each of the following:
For each different non-school fighter fought.
1 point for non peer
2 points for peer (Knights or better to open)
- Can be in tourney or singled out combat
1 pt for every A&S category entered
1 pt for every helpful act
Ongoing points. (After the event)
Participation points:
1 point: Every Scimitar-Talon Class attended
- Must be there and participating for at least 80% of the time.
1 point: Every event where Scimitar-Talon is present as an entity.
1 point: Every new student that returns to their 4th class
1 point: Every helpful act
Remember:
- Must be witnessed by any instructor or 2 students
- Names are submitted with no solicitation on helpers part
- Written detailed account/date/time of what the student did.
In regards to the 'Helpful Act' points:
The criteria that Instructors or students use to report is
subjective.
If you get upset because no one is submitting helpful act points for
you, then there are 2 main reasons why:
1. You are not doing it for the right reasons,
(that's why you're upset.)
2. You are not doing enough that it is obvious.
(Not that this is a bad thing, but remember,
most people are not used to looking for the best)
These points will be tallied up and reported quarterly.
An award will presented at the end of the year School Gathering
I will be adding point tasks as time goes on.
If you have any suggestions for point tasks and how to award them,
please feel free to e-mail me at aonghais@...
Thank you
Lord Aonghais Mercari
