The art I would teach will be a light weapon training involving the same type of armour as the boffer weapons. The swings will be touch based and used with little force as there is no hard force exerted when cutting with a fully functional katana.  The weapons I would use would be shinais, boffer spears, halberds (or short spears know as pikes), short swords which will be refered to as wakazashi and will also incompuss a shorter shinai when a longer shinai is accompaning it, knifes wich will be refered to as tantos, and dai-katanas also refered to as the great katanas.  The art can be incorperated into hard suit but my goal is to start in light weapons.  Once I get people familiar with the art then I would like to expand into the hard suit catagory with some aid.  I believe this will answer your questions but if more arise then i shall answer them at the field on saturday.
