I am looking to put a team together to join in the league, I believe it doesnt
start until the fall, around September. I dont have any in depth details yet,
but I am just throwing it out there in case anyone was interested.
Sorry I havn't been able to attend any of the recent games, but I will hopefully
see you all on Sunday.

It is an outdoor league, the only thing is we would have to chose and designate a home field, but that shouldnt be too much of a problem. Once I get some more info, I will pass it along to everyone.

Ok, so here is an update about possibly joining a Men's Soccer league in the Fall.
If enough people are interested, we can definitely form a team. I figure we should have at least get 15-16 guys, that way we have a few subs and still be able to field 11 in case a few people cant make it, etc. Also, the more people we get, the cheaper everyone pays.
-I dont have any exact numbers on how much the team fee is, I am still waiting back for the details.
-Since we would be a new team, we would start in one of the lower divisions of the league. I dont know if anyone has ever played in a league before, but its one of those deals where if you finish at the top of your division, you move up, if you finish at the bottom, you move down.
-Also, a pretty big issue to consider: It looks like a majority of the teams are in the NYC area. There are a few teams in Westchester, but it looks like a majority of the away games would be in Queens & Brooklyn. I hope that when the divisions are made, they consider geographic areas to match with teams, but that can't be certain.
-Games are played on Sundays, mornings and afternoons.
-We also have to designate our own home field. The Westchester Parks & Rec. office said that to rent a field would cost $150 for 2 1/2 hours. A field they recommended was Tibbet's Field in Yonkers. I can also contact a few ladies that play in the Westchester Women's League and gather more info on the fields that they play on (Silver Lake Turf Field, Pace College, just to name a few)
-Also, we would need our own jersey's. I would imagine we would try to keep it as cheap as possible. I know we can get t-shirts made up for relatively cheap, and we can also try and get a team sponser. I know that Brazen Fox in White Plains sponsers the White Plains Women's team, maybe they would be up for sponsoring a Men's team as well. Just something to think about.
I attached the link to the League below. All in all, if we can get enough guy's I think we can make it work. I know there were a couple e-mails replying with a yes to playing, so if you are still interested, could you please send another. I just want to get a rough count on how many would be interested. If its over 11, then I am going to send in our form.
Like I said, As soon as I find out about the exact team price, I will pass it along.
If anyone as any more questions or anything, feel free to ask.
