I am not sure that I can make this tournament because it's on Saturday. But you can put me on the substitute list.
have fun.

It's official!!
We have been invited and I have accepted to engage in the Turkey Bowl!
This is the Saturday the week before Thanksgiving, about 2 weeks from now.
Basic details are that there will be three other teams.
The first game will begin at 10, so we would need to arrive by 9:30 to get organized.
We will have three abbreviated games and the winner takes "all", " all" being the losers will have to buy beer for winners at some nearby watering hole-TBD.
So please respond to this e-mail by next Wednesday, November 12th indicating that you can definitely play, as I will want to have at least 12-15 players for our team. If I cannot get enough guaranteed through our yahoo group, I will recruit some others, but need some lead time to do so.

Hello Marc O. and Yanping,
I and two soccer players from the Yahoo group I co-moderate, the
Westchester County All Sports Club, are organizing a tournament of
sorts dubbed the "Turkey Bowl"; the date nor the location has not yet
been confirmed but it will fall sometime around Thanksgiving week.
I'd like to extend an invite to you and the Scarsdale soccer group to
join us. So far, we have three teams interested in playing, which
include my soccer mates who usually play in White Plains on Saturdays,
another group based in CT (also co-ed) and a third which consists of
AYSO coaches (they coach youth players in leagues based in our county).
I'll be happy to add you to my mailing list for this event, if you
feel a decent amount of interest would be generated from the ladies
and fellows from the Scarsdale group. It'll be faster, that way, to
receive updates. It's not a large one either; pretty much 5 people
will be on it, lol (the organizers for the participating teams).
Cheers,
Milton
