Welcome to the Yahoo Group of the Santa Bastard Hash House Harriers, Santa Barbara's newest, freshest "drinking club with a running problem." We gather every other Tuesday, plus solstices and equinoxes somewhere in the greater Santa Barbara area for a different twist on running and having fun. We follow a trial marked with flour and chalk laid by "hares" which ends at an "On-On" celebration and party.

As a social running club we emphasize fun - not competition - suitable to any fitness level. Our goal is pretty simple - get a little exercise, quench our thirst with a beer, and give each other a hard time. On a typical evening spent with SBH3 you can expect to find a 2.5 - 4 mile cross-country trail for an evening of exercise, a few laughs, and ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Anyone over the age of 21 is always welcome.We cheerfully embrace first-time hashers at any of our events, and many virgins come again and again for the Santa Bastard H3.
