See DISCLAIMER Below:
We finally did it! Linda
and I bought a minivan to carry our tandem in a sheltered environment. The decision had nothing to do with the fact that
we now have two grandchildren we take of one day a week.
In any event, our car-top carrier is now available for purchase. The ad I placed on Craigslist follows:
The TandeMover is the best car-top tandem
carrier ever designed. It's a shame the retired engineer that designed
it didn't promote it better, and that it is now out of production. You,
however, can still get one! This carrier mounts to virtually any
car-top rack. One person can easily "hang" the bike on the carrier by
its handlebars, and then pivot it back over the car, locking it down.
The tandem, without removing either wheel, now rides upside-down,
secured at four points. Now for the bonus: When
hanging outboard of your vehicle, this carrier serves as a convenient
work stand! New it was $300. It can use some paint, but it performs as
it did when new. Email or call me, Jeff, at (818) 439-7571, and please
leave message if I don't answer. I asked $85,
but for members of the MASCOTS, I will reduce the price to $65, firm.
