Hi everyone.

We had a great turnout for yesterday's rally, and the consensus was that
a good time was had by all.

Many, many thanks once again to Jerry and Jeannie Davis, who handled all
the preparations and food with their usual efficiency and flair. Thanks,
too, to Kerry Kunsman, our resident sound engineer and DJ, who provided
a great soundtrack for lunch, and to Rich Wolf, whose reworking of the
Point Loma ride took us off uncomfortably busy streets and rerouted us
to lovely side streets, making for a thoroughly enjoyable time. And
special thanks to everyone who came. What makes this club unique is the
members, and it's always wonderful to see as many as possible. (We had
several new members this time, as well as some we haven't seen in a
while--a perfect combination!)

On to some important business: The ride leaders originally scheduled for
our September 10 ride have had to postpone their availability, so we're
currently soliciting a replacement. If you'd be willing to lead the
September 10 ride, we'd love to have you...hint, hint. If no one comes
forward, there won't be a ride, and with the Dana Point overnight tour
happening just two weeks later, we all need to stay (or get) in shape,
don't we? So let me know if you'd like to lead the ride. First come,
first designated, so don't delay!
