My husband and I have been riding a
Cannondale MT1000 for about 10 years. We are now looking for a "travel
tandem" [e.g. one that breaks down into a couple of suitcases] so that
we can take it on trips outside of the country. We mostly do bike
trails and road biking around our place. We ordinarily do about 20-30
miles a day, and bike about 4 days a week during the season.
We need your advice. We are looking at a Co-Motion Cappuccino Co-Pilot and a da Vinci Joint Venture. Do any of your members have any idea of which would be the better bike? Is it worth while going titanium rather than steel (the breakdown bikes don't come in aluminum). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It is such a specialty market, that you cannot really find good reviews on the internet. If you could point us to some good reviews or websites, I would also appreciate that help.
