Sarah & Friends,

I found your contact information while doing an internet search for "Tandem
Bicycles Rancho Bernardo" -- I have a bit of a strange request, but I hope
that you might be able to assist me. My wife and I are volunteers for a
local Rancho Bernardo church, called "The City Church"
(http://www.thecitychurchsd.com) located in 4S Ranch. In conjunction with
Valentine's Day this Saturday, we are coordinating a special Marriage
Seminar for married couples in our church and in the community. As a part
of the weekend event, we have some guest pastors flying in from Seattle to
be our main speakers. These guests have asked us to provide them with a few
"props" to help them demonstrate/convey some of the ideas/messages that
they will be sharing. As you may have guessed by now, one of the "props"
that they have asked for is a Tandem Bicycle. Well, I don't have a tandem
bicycle, nor does anyone else that I know. And, since our church is a
non-profit organization, we don't really have the budget to purchase one...
and we would really prefer to not have to rent one.

So, I thought I would pose the question to a group of people who probably
know something about tandem bicycles, which is how I stumbled upon your
contact information. Would one of you possibly know of someone/someplace
that might have a tandem bicycle that we could use on Friday and Saturday
(Feb. 13 & 14)? I understand that these are expensive items, but I can
assure you the following:
-The bicycle would be kept in a secure location, locked up when not in use
-The bicycle will not be used outside
-The bicycle will only be used for "display" purposes, inside our church
building. In other words, the guest speakers are going to use the tandem
bicycle up at the front of our sanctuary for just a few minutes, to
demonstrate some piece of wisdom on "working together as a team" (or
something along those lines).

If any of you have an extra, or possibly even an older, unused tandem
bicycle that we could borrow (for less than a 24-hour time-period), it would
be a huge help to us. I would be happy to discuss the issue further, or
answer any questions you might have -- please send me an e-mail or give me a
call.

Thank you for your consideration.
