In case some of you are as glued to your computers and e-mail as I am,
here's the scoop on tomorrow's ride.

We'll meet in the parking lot at Flower Hill Mall, behind Milton's.
We'll head out at 9 a.m., for a moderately hilly but very scenic ride
through back roads of Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe and Encinitas. Some
of the roads will be familiar, but we've added some completely new
twists that we think you'll really enjoy. (None of the hills is
especially long.) We'll then head out to the coast for a spin up to
Carlsbad, then back down the coast to Flower Hill Mall and a delightful
lunch and planning meeting at Ajiya, a new Asian restaurant located on
the lower level of the shopping center. I'm hoping we can map out our
schedule through October, including the club rally, so bring your
calendars.

Our lunch reservation is for 12:30 p.m. The club will spring for mochi
desserts for every member who comes. If you haven't RSVP'd yet and
decide you'd like to join us, you'll need to let me know ASAP so I can
inform the restaurant.

I'll try to e-mail the route slip out a little later tonight but we will
