Unfortunatley the low turnout, means we won't be able to have a STREND tomorrow.
 
I spoke with Mark and we are looking at a 4/11 date in Spring.
 
I suppose it is just as well, I am exhausted and devastated as our team lost by
1 point in today's cross country championships and will not be making the trip
to nationals.
It was the last X-country race of my college career, only 21+ years after the
first.
 
I kicked as hard as could at the end and simply could not pass the runner in
front of me, which meant a tie, and we would have won in a tie as it would go to
our 6th place runner's finish place.  I ran as hard as I could, no doubt about
it we all did, and anyone of us could have moved up a spot, but that is the way
life works out sometimes.
 
It still was an honor to compete.

Chris you will be missed. As far as a future event in the bay area,
that sounds great. Let me know when you are going to start the
planning process and I will be more than happy to give a lending hand.
I live in Sacramento now but the bay area is a short drive away.

I'm hoping to hit an 8 this weekend in the regular. I have been
feeling good but we'll see how things pan out. I've had to do most of
my running on treadmills because of my beat up legs but I'm hoping
they hold up for 3 miles!
