I will do a couple of easy workouts this week to stayed primed. I
am trying to convert the camera videos (one was on the top of the
bar focused just on the chin) if I can convert them I will upload
them to the site. So far I was able to save it to my hard drive,
but I guess I need a decoder to export it as a .wmv
Speed pull ups are a power/speed type of record. When you view the
video you will see full lockout and chin breaking the plane of the
bar, but invariably there is some movements of the hips as you pull
back; thighs come perpendicular to the plane of the bar and then
straight up, but ankles for the most part are locked behind me, in
order to avoid kipping or leg kicking/whipping. It would be
interesting to see others who have claimed this record and their
form. I wonder exactly what their video attempt looked like.
I can see how perhaps 49 in one minute is possible, but there simply
is not enough time for someone with my arm length to get more then
that in 60 seconds.
