Hi again,
I'm amazed/surprised that anyone paid attention to my thoughts at all, but
great hey!
No though, we/you don't have to stage a whole new event to get the
'attention' from the networks. If 'the people' that have the last San Diego
event
footage just package it up, with GREAT Editing, A Good Editor can make
ANYTHING look exciting and enjoyable with the right Soundtrack added.
my idea is/was to just run with what we've got already, as if you miss the
train by waiting for some next April new Event, then you might have already
fallen behind many more with other marketing ideas.
PLUS, any new event that will have the INTENTION OF BEING BROADCAST will
have to have every single entrants permission to be 'AIRED/BROADCAST', or
the editing guys/girls will have to put 'masks/fizzles/blocks' on those
competitors that don't want their
images aired. And THAT legality could retard registration even.
So, go with what's been shot before, and then just use it for the
Promotional aspect to get the Networks to 'go for it' interest wise, then you
can
advise all entrants that the entire event will need a Clearance Waiver to
participate, but then with the Network Attention, you might GET more athletes
that
would do it JUST TO BE SEEN than the shy ones.
But you don't need the Clearances just to present to the buyers.
And you CAN edit together, add a soundtrack, narration to what exists
already possibly.
