The paperwork is due at the coaches meeting on the 13th. I can get as many discs to you as you would like. when are you there after school? I could drop them by.

Hey Chris, its the same way with me, if I could get even 7 or so to start

turning paper work in to you. I already have it all out to the guys
interested, but when should I get all of it in by?

If there is anyway, that I could pick up frisbees early that would be awesome. Getting all this paperwork is like pulling teeth. Having any extra incentive to get all of it on time could make my world easier. Let me know when and where I need to meet you in order to get the frisbees. The sooner the better.

I have the discs. Any team that wants to get some discs to give out as players turn in their paperwork and fees can give me a call and I'll get some to you. Of course you can wait and get the discs from me on the 13th when you turn in your paperwork. The discs come with
the $10 league fee.

I teach in Fulton, Missouri and I started a Ultimate this year at the high
school. Do you know if there is a league in or around the Columbia/Fulton
area? I am having a meeting Wednesday with my players to see if they are
interested in playing in the St. Louis league and just driving in for
games. What do we need to do to join the league?

I had to change the date of the coaches meeting to February 13th.
Shame on all of us men that Dana had to point out I had scheduled the
meeting on Valentines day. Update your Contact information. This is
mostly for Priory and Marquette, who I know I are going to have a
team. I realize we do this each year, and the info may not have
changed, but this assures that each year everyone has updated contact
info and is also an indication that you are in. On the "you are in"
note, Mcluer North and Hazelwood East, Could you reply to my email?
Certainly you haven't fallen of the face of the earth in a matter of
two months. As I prepare for the season: purchasing discs, deciding on
tentative scheduling and preparing for the State Championship, it
helps tremendously to have an idea of how many teams we will have. We
have 30 days until paperwork is due and 7 weeks until the season
starts. I will not be giving extensions on team paperwork this year,
so you need to be getting your recruiting started, fields secured,
decide on a practice date, etc...
We are getting better at this every year, and I truly appreciate
everyone that has already gotten started preparing for the upcoming
season.
I have updated the yahoogroup with the forms and posted all of the
instructions for signing up for the 2008 season. Be sure to read the
front page because it outlines all of the pertinent dates and changes.
I'm really hoping to get a good idea as to how the league AS A WHOLE
feels about the start-date this year.
Accordingly, if you have not yet done so, go to the POLLS page of the
yahoogroup and answer the question there. Thanks!
Jason.
Also, if you are the organizer of your team (coach or captain), go to
the DATABASE page of the YahooGroup and enter your new contact
information for the 2008 Season.
Here we go, flatballers . . . won't be long now . . .

We're in the process of arranging the schedule for the 2008 season,
and we need your input. Please go to the YahooGroup and answer the
new poll question. Thanks.

I agree w/ Matt about field availability after school. Poaching fields at public parks is a pretty sure thing from 3:30 until at least 5:00.

mike,
You can simply change your settings so that you dot get emails or you can get a
daily digest. It is important to have these discussions on the board so that we
don't have the same discussion repeatedly.

Once a teacher / adult has agreed to act as chaperone for your team, an experienced player will help you organize an Ultimate clinic at your school. You will need to get permission to use fields for the clinic, future practices, and games. Also secure a class room as we can start the clinic in a class and show an instructional dvd or video.
To the person that does not want to be part of this conversation; perhaps you should remove yourself from this group. The questions and answers being posted in this exchange are relevant to any and all schools that want to start a team.

You'll need an adult, and history tells us that if you want your team to compete, they ought to be a teacher. You would be suprised how many teacher's will do it if you just ask.

Greetings all,
I am writing to invite you and your teams to participate in Glory Days
2007. Glory Days will be hosted 0ct. 13-14 at the Naperville Polo
Grounds, outside Chicago, IL. The tournament fee for youth teams is
$200. This will be a two day event.
Pool play will be on Saturday with a minimum of 4 games for all teams.
Elimination bracket play will begin Saturday morning with all teams
guaranteed 2 games. The youth division will be played in the "Open"
format. As such, teams can be co-ed but there will be no requirement
to be so and no required team mix.
We are asking for teams that are interested to contact me at
youthultimate@.... Bids will be announced on Sept. 8th. Teams
that receive bids will need to submit the tournament fee within 2
weeks, or make arrangements with us, in order to secure the bid. Bids
will be given on a rolling basis after the 8th until the field is full.
Teams will not be required to submit roster to UPA for the tournament.
We will likely need the youth division to complete waiver forms in
advance of the tournament.
Glory Days was one of the largest college tournaments in the Midwest
last fall. This year we are not only expanding the college field but
adding a youth division. This will be a fantastic opportunity for
youth teams to not only play but to watch some good ultimate.
Peace, Love and Ultimate,
Matthew Rotert
