This clinic is for anyone that enjoys ultimate and wants to see the
sport grow, from the person that helped manage their league team to the person
that wants to take a team to nationals.
Here are all the details:
I want to extend an invitation for you to attend the Ultimate Coaching
and Volunteer Clinic on Sat., Jan. 20.
It is a 2-1/2 hour session for certified volunteers. You will
receive instruction on how to help introduce ultimate and its skills to new
players, organize a clinic, and organize your team. The cost is $20
+ UPA membership. Breakfast is provided. Certified volunteers will
also receive:

GAIA ultimate coach’s clipboard
* a
GAIA UPA coaching corps disc

Support from UPA headquarters when setting up and running clinics
Certified volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Certified
coaches must be at least 21 years old.
It is full day clinic for the certified coaches. Breakfast and
lunch are provided. Coaches will receive instruction on teaching and
maintaining Spirit of the Game; how to interact and utilize parents; improving
the fitness of their team; maintaining high professional coaching standards;
and how to behave both ethically and legally while coaching. The cost is
$70 + UPA membership. In addition to the benefits of attending a coaching
clinic and gaining certification, coaches will also receive the following from

If you are below the age limit, you may attend the clinics, but will
not receive certification.

The clinic will run from 8 am to 4:30 pm and will take place at
The UPA is sending Michael Baccarini to teach this program.
A full rebate is offered through the UPA for women coaches, male
coaches that lead women or mixed teams, or anyone that leads a UPA women’s
clinic.

To further entice individuals to participate in the coaching clinic,
SLUA will offer a $25 rebate for individuals who do not qualify for the
UPA’s rebate program.
In order to qualify for SLUA’s $25 rebate; the applicant must pay
the initial $70 clinic registration fee and meet one of the following
requirements:
