This group is for communication with, and among competitors in the SPEC RX7 class in Texas and Louisiana. We road-race wheel to wheel with SCCA, NASA, and COMMA at Hallet. Visitors are welcome, spammers are not.

Spec RX7 is possibly the lowest cost, most fun way to go road-racing. Start with a healthy 1981-1985 RX7, gut the interior, add bolt-in rollcage, spec springs, spec shocks, spec header. Toss the emissions equipment, hang some DOT Toyo race tires on 13" wheels -- and you have a race car. Check the files for SOWDIV (only) vehicle preparation rules. Since we all have the same limited modifications, the racing is very equal, the competiton extremely close and talent really shines.
To get involved, you need a racing license and a logbook from SCCA or NASA or both. This is your ticket to road course access anywhere in the country.
We race at Texas Motor Speedway (on the BIG track, plus the infield), Texas World Speedway in College Station (2.9 mile road course), Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, and occasionally Hallet and Corpus Christi.
