upcoming event, next w/e:

Bicycle Riding Day Trip to Harriman State Park,
Saturday, October 4  or  Sunday, October 5
(both days available)

join us as we take it to the rolling hills and beautiful lakes of
Harriman State Park, from the south western gates all the way
to Bear Mountain and the Hudson River.

beginners as well as stronger bikers welcome  !
you can chose between a mountain bike or a street racer.
for beginners, this will be a trip easy and relax enough for you
to keep up;    stronger bikers will be able to take on Bear Mountain,
which at 1306 feet, should be a fine challenge.

we'll cycle for a total of appx. 30 miles, excluding the Bear Top,
and we will stop for lunch / picnics along the lakes and possibly
go as far as the Hudson River / Bear Mountain Bridge !!

meeting / departure location and schedule:
8.45 AM:  people on the east side will get picked up at request

9.00 AM:  downtown:  meeting at FuelRay Cafe & Lounge,
68 West 3rd St, off LaGuardia, just north of Bleecker

9.15 AM:  upper west side: Starbucks and McDonalds,
south west corner of 71st St. and Broadway

costs:  $85  if you need a bike,  $45 if you have a bike
this will include transport for you and the bike from Manhattan
to the park and back...
what to bring:  some food, snacks, picnic, lunch, happy faces

we shall challenge gravity on the new ride; SUPERMAN, Ultimate
Flight, just opened this spring, speeds up to 60 mph, 115 feet high,
for over 3 minutes !!!

long range forecast looks good and there won't be that many people
there, so, less waiting in line and more riding the coasters !!

please join us for a day on the water with the historic sailing yacht
Ventura, a classic 70' sailing yacht, commissioned in 1919, featured
on television and in films....

we shall cruise through NYC's Upper Bay Area, where the winds are
the strongest !  I have exactly 33 spots available, so this may fill up
quickly

we will sail from downtown NYC / WFC docks;
time:    10.45 AM, for a 3 hour sail
cost:    $60, will include the sail AND open bar (wine & beers) !!

Horseback Riding, Jamaica Bay, Sunday, September 28

back by popular demand; for those who couldn't get enough and
those who missed it last w/e...

take a scenic, pleasureful ride through beautiful wooded trails and
a short strip on the beach ! yeah, that's right, riding on the beach !!

Located on 300 Acres of  'Gateway National Recreation Area and
Wildlife Preserve' with miles of wooded trails...

transportation provided via van from Battery Park City / WFC,
departure at 3.45 PM, returning appx. 7.00 PM

cost for transport and first hour of riding $65, additional riding
optional at an extra charge

beginners will be taken out in groups by professional guides,
experienced riders will be challenged at a faster pace in smaller
teams, i.e. private rides !!

riding styles will include Western or English, your choice,
and helmets are available upon request...
