but then again...     who knows...    Isabel bringing us some
rain during the week, but by the w/e it should be sunny again,

Night Hiking Adventure, Harriman State, Sat to Sun, Sep. 20/21

 the Ultimate Hiking Experience, this will challenge all your senses!
deep in the dark of night, equipped with flashlights and compass,
seeking out the mountain pathway to the breathtaking sunrise vista!!

we'll stop to light a bonfire on the lake, maybe some moonshine
swimming, toast marshmallows and share ghost stories...   :-)

transportation provided via van from three locations in Manhattan,
we shall leave the city around 10.00 PM Saturday night and hit the trails
shortly before the graveyard shift...
train our night-vision capabilities on the van on the ride up, and GO...

cost will be $45, for transport, park fees, snacks...
you will have to bring your own picnic / breakfast / sandwiches...

Horseback Riding, Jamaica Bay, Sunday, September 21

this will be a bit closer to home base, less driving and less frequently
asked questions, such as: "...are we there yet ??"        :-)

take a scenic, pleasureful ride through beautiful wooded trails and
along the beach !   yeah, that's right, riding on the beach !!

Located on 300 Acres of  'Gateway National Recreation Area and
Wildlife Preserve' with miles of wooded trails...

transportation provided via van from downtown (SoHo) Manhattan,
meeting / departure location: FuelRay
schedule:
Group A: 11.30 am to ca. 1.30 pm
Group B:    2.00 pm to ca. 4.00 pm

cost for transport and first hour of riding $45, additional riding optional
at $27 per person...      people from Group A may stay longer and return
with Group B, we'll work on the logistics there...

well, hope you'll join me with the ponies...

we shall meet on the last day of September...    gosh, it's October soon !!
to meet and mingle with members and non-members of our outdoor
adventure club, share stories of trips with people who missed out on the
fun adventures, and just have a great time...
