Just a couple of things for you...
First, I've noticed that several people set up their subscription to
the Yahoo Group with "Special Notices" notification. A lot of them
then email me to complain that they don't get our Newsletter.
The issue is that the weekly newsletter is not sent out as a special
notice. If you'd like to receive the newsletter, then your status
should be set to either "individual emails" or "daily digest".
If you are not a Yahoo user, this doesn't affect you as you'll get
the individual emails directly. If you are a Yahoo User - You can
make the change here: http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/SKI_NYC
or here: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups
If you have your settings set to "No mail" and you're complaining
that you don't know what's going on with the club, I am not sure
I have the proper clinical certifications to assist you...
The second thing I've noticed is that Hotmail users seem to be
getting emails on a delayed basis. I'm not sure why this is -
perhaps it takes a long time to mail to 1100+ people, or perhaps
it thinks that the newsletter is junk mail.
Either way, if you want your email to be delived promptly and to
your inbox, users of online mail services (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail)
should add Newsletter@... to their addressbook so the
message does not get delayed or junk mailed.
