Hiya everyone,
Over the past several weeks I've been getting messages from people saying they used
to get emails from the club, but haven't gotten any recently. This seems to be because
to get emails from the club, but haven't gotten any recently. This seems to be because
of the new spam filtering software that AOL, Yahoo, and several others have installed.
The software is not 100% foolproof, and can put valid mails in with the usual spam.
There are a couple of fixes for this, but the most effective is to check your filtered mail
every once in awhile to see if valid mail is going there.
If you have the ability to control your spam filters, you can do the following:
1. Add newsletter@... and info@... to your address books.
Some spam filters will read your addressbook to determine if a sender is valid.
2. Add newsletter@... and info@... to your "trusted" sources
in the spam blocking software. This should keep them from being screened.
and
3. If possible, create a rule so that anything with "[ski-nyc.com]" in the subject line
gets moved back into your inbox, or to another folder. This will keep a copy going
into someplace other than your filtered mail.
Obviously not all of you will get this email for the very same reason we're sending it...
So if you have friends in the club that you know aren't getting messages - forward them
this one they can get it corrected.
