Good afternoon everybody,

I am pleased to announce the final plan for the trekking challenge of 2004:

Dynamic goes international with our trip to Machu Picchu, Peru, the
mystical, magical, most famous and oldest city of the American continent

Hiking the famous Inca Trail ! with visits to the city of Cuzco,
the Sacred Valley, and countless ruins and monuments of the
Inca culture and history.   An adventure of a lifetime !

General Trip Itinerary:

Friday, May 7,            departure from JFK at 11.30 pm to Lima
Saturday, May 8,       arriving in Lima and connecting to Cuzco
Sunday, May 9,         day tour to the Sacred Valley
Monday, May 10,     city tour in Cuzco and surrounding area
Tuesday, May 11,     start the Inca Trail at KM 88, Trek Day 1
Wednesday, May 12, Inca Trail, Trek Day 2
Thursday, May 13,     Inca Trail, Trek Day 3
Friday, May 14,           Inca Trail, Trek Day 4, arrival in Machu Picchu
         and return to Cuzco by train and bus that evening
Saturday, May 15,     recover, relax, shop, explore local markets
Sunday, May 16,       departure from Cuzco at 4.30 pm to Lima
Monday, May 17,      arrive in NYC 8.30 am (overnight from Lima)

The schedule is designed to minimize vacation day usage to only 5 days.
On Monday, you can chose to go to work for the full day, half the day,
or take the day off.

The Inca Trail:
We will hike and camp the 88 km of this famous and fabulous trail for
4 days and 3 nights, steadily approaching the city of Machu Picchu.
There will be a 2 day / 1 night option available, as well as, the option
to take the train to the base camp and hike up Machu Picchu only.

Detailed Itinerary:

Friday, May 7
Departure Friday night, 11.30 pm, fly from NYC, JFK to Lima, Peru
Saturday, connect to the City of Cuzco

Saturday, May 8
Adjust to the altitude ( 3,400 meters above sea level or 11,150 feet !!)
Trust me, you will need to adjust !  unpack, relax, explore the city of
Cuzco and surrounding Inca ruins, visit local shops, etc...

Sunday, May 9
Day trip to the Sacred Valley; leaving Cuzco in the direction of Pizac,
visiting a number of ruins (Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay)

Monday, May 10
City tour in Cuzco and surrounding area, start all final preparations
for the Inca Trail (this gives us one last relaxing day before the hike)

Tuesday, May 11
Trekking Day 1;  The Famous Inca Trail
From Cuzco by train to km 88 where we start our "pilgrimage"

Wednesday, May 12
Trekking Day 2; climbing 3 major passes on the trail,
spend the night camping...

Thursday, May 13
Trekking Day 3; climbing 3 major passes on the trail,
spend the night camping...

Friday, May 14
Pass the Sun Gate to witness a most spectacular sunrise, then
continue on the trail and see the the city of Mach Picchu unfold
in front of your eyes, not for the faint of hart...
Tour the city and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding
mountains, taking it all in, relax from the hike before taking the
train and bus back to Cuzco...

Saturday, May 15
Back in Cuzco, explore local markets just outside the city,
they have awesome arts and crafts and jewelry !!

Sunday, May 16
Leaving  Cuzco at 4.30 pm back to Lima and fly overnight to NYC

Sunday, May 17
arrive at JFK at 8.30 am

Note: we will spend quite some time in Cuzco, but trust me this
city is just amazing and the last time we were there, we didn't
want to leave !!!

The cost for this adventure will be $1,650
The most important cost factors are the flight, the guided tours,
the Inca Trail / Camping gear & food provided on the trail, plus
they will provide porters, practically carrying all your supplies !!
Costs not covered are about two lunch and dinner meals...
(Credit card payment option available !)

We will take only 15 participants on this trip, thus, if you are
Interested, please let me know ASAP. I will have to finalize
the bookings for air, hotel, and the trekking guides soon;
