You know I'm not big on the sappy requests, but here goes...
As some of you know I have been mentoring a young, at-risk girl for the past three years and well, she's now a young lady and going to college! It's been a long road for Jeanette, but she has managed to get her GED while working, living on her own and acting as pseudo parent to her two younger siblings (yes, I'm quite proud!). Now she is attending college and attempting to make ends meet. Which brings me to a request on her behalf, she is in need of a laptop computer to complete homework and her online classes. As we all know, times are a bit tough at the moment and computers are not cheap :)
Have you (or maybe your company/organization) recently upgraded to a new laptop and are trying to figure out what to do with the older, fully functional one? If the answer is yes, I would love to talk to you!!!
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
