Greetings San Francisco Ultimate League Players,
For those both obsessed or passive about playing Ultimate,
there's a comedy opening on the 10th here in San Francisco which
glorifies the sport.
"Release the Kraken" is the latest comedy by the Thunderbird
Theatre Company, which has brought original off-beat works to San
Francisco for over eight years. Combining elements of "Clash of the
Titans" with "Clerks," the heroic Perseus must decide whether to save
his love, his job and honor, or just slack off and go play Ultimate in
the park. Will the great Kraken monster destroy all that is dear to him,
or might his Ultimate skills aid him on his quest?
The Thunderbird Theatre Company enjoys a cult following in
San Francisco for their original comedies, and they sell out quickly.
Don't be left embarrassed when a co-worker, who knows of your Ultimate
obsession, makes references to "Release the Kraken" at your expense due
to having missed this play. Info and ticket reservations at:

"Release the Kraken"
The Greek Gods atop Mount Olympus challenge our hero Perseus to slay the
Kraken, the last of the Titan monsters- but wait, Perseus works in a
strip mall? Can Perseus prove he is middle management material? Can he
and sidekick Rufus make it past the three witches of the DMV? The Two
headed Scientologist? Jay Medusa? And eventually, the titan himself...
Mr. Kraken?
Now in it's eighth year, The Thunderbird Theatre Company presents
"Release the Kraken." Blending mall mythology and Greek heroes, "Release
the Kraken" follows a day in the life of Zeus's half mortal son as he
faces the dangers of modern day capitalism. Written by Thunderbird
members Dana Constance and Bryce Allemann "Release the Kraken" is just
the comic Odyssey San Francisco has been waiting for.
