So check it out... I recently started a winery in San Francisco
(www.crushpadwine.com). We basically work with lots of individual wine geeks,
restaurants and others to make really, really great wine. However, making
really, really great wine requires a fair amount of human touch. That's where
you come in!
We're going to crush over 100 tons of grapes our first year and it's a great
opportunity for anyone who wants to learn how to make wine to help us out.
Starting next week and going for about two months will be a fair amount of
mayhem and I'm putting together a potential volunteer list now. This is the
list I'll send messages out to when we harvest from a particular vineyard (we'll
do this 15 times this year). It's loads of work but also loads of fun.
You get a lot of experience, all the beer you can drink and, when we get wine
into bottle next year, a bit of that as well. If you're really persistent, I'll
show you the bunghole enlarger.
Drop me an email at michael@... if you want me to put you on the
mega master wine volunteer list.
...Michael
