Hey SFUL.
I'm entered in the June 11th Cool Hand Luke Egg Eating Contest in
Versailles Ohio.
"What's that?" you say?
Well, it's an egg eating contest that benefits the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society (www.leukemia-lymphoma.org ). The contest
is on the opening night of Poultry Days, a tournament held in
memory of Jeff Warrick, an Ohio ultimate player who passed away
from Leukemia.
Contestants get donations based on the number of hard
boiled eggs that they can eat in 15 minutes. Some examples for
sponsorship in this event would be:
$.50 per egg
$5 per egg with a limit or $100
$1 per egg, but if you eat more than 10 eggs I'll make it $3 per egg
$1 per egg, but $2 per egg for every egg after 10
And so forth.
The "winner" of the contest is determined by total money raised,
making it a combination of fundraising and eating skill. I'm a master
of the latter, but need your help with the former.
Not only will you be donating to a good cause, but the donation
is 100% tax deductible, so the more I eat, the fewer taxes you pay
in 2004 (a winning bet). After the competition I'll also send all
sponsors who want one a signed photo of me in action at the contest.
There also may be multimedia made available to donors on
bigethan.com.
So if you want to motivate me to go huevo crazy for charity (or
know someone who would want to), please send along the following
information:
Donor Name
Per Egg Donation
Phone Number (optional)
Email ( just used by me to contact you after the contest, no spam)
And I'll take care of the rest. Yum.
