It's spring and that means club ultimate teams
are having tryouts. But if you are looking for
another fun and both physcially and mentally
intense sport, my rugby team, San
Francisco Golden Gate Women's Rugby club is in
need of athletic women.
I am a rookie rugby player and I still play for
a co-ed ultimate club team (Feral Cows). I love
ultimate but there is a reason rugby is so
popular everywhere but America. The comraderie
on and off the field, the intense 80 minute
matches with no subbing, the short-shorts (just
kidding).
It's a great winter/spring sport for the
ultimate "off-season". We only have a couple of
games left of 15's but in the summer we play 7's
and touch rugby.
