Okay, so I took that free women's beginner's Ultimate clinic last month, but
now I'm scared to death of just showing up for a pickup game.
I'm fairly athletic (ie, in fairly good cardio shape, can run for an hour or
more without requiring hospitalization, and have decent eye-hand-feet-flying
object coordination) BUT I am definitely not a kid anymore. (I'm 30) Also,
my disc-throwing (I JUST learned how) and other Ultimate-specific skills are
very limited. Finally, I also only recently learned the Rules of the game.
That said, any recommendations on what to do next? Again, I'd LOVE to get
into this sport. I'm not sure I have the time to actually play in a league;
nor do I know how to go about joining one. Ideally, I'd like to play pickup
games or perhaps participate in additional clinics...
Any suggestions? I live in Marin but work in downtown SF and so am somewhat
flexibile as to WHERE I'd be playing....
Thanks in advance!
