Here's my ad on Craig's List: I am hoping to get around $750. for
it, but am negotiable.
I wants me a housemate!! I bought this very bright and airy house
about three months ago in a kick-ass n.oakland/emeryville
neighborhood and have it ready to share with a housemate. Looking for
an Aug 21 - Sept 1 move in.
It's a three bedroom - one of which is an office - with one
incredible bath room with bath and shower. There is a big kitchen
(with washer/dryer) that has a diningroom attached which opens into
the back yard through french doors. The gardens (front and back)
are still underway, but already great spaces with LOTS OF PLANTS.
There is a large livingroom area, that was the livingroom/dinigroom
but now is just one big hang out space with a working fireplace.
Great light throughout. Lots of color/art. Storage aplenty.
I am a recent PhD graduate (anthropology/international agricultural
development), currently working with a team of people to organize a
Fair Trade Conference in Cancun in September. I've got an art studio
for metal sculpture work about 7 blocks from the house. I like to
bitch and complain and drive my house mates crazy ...no wait...that
couldn't be right. I am looking for someone that wants a cool place
to share, doesn't stomp around the house, wants a certain amount of
cross over without glomming onto each other. Dinner parties, bbqs,
periodic (at least) loud music, lots o art and color on the walls. No
major tv watchers or people who think that other people should
continue to parent them late into life.
I'd prefer some one mid-30s+ that is into what they are doing in
life. You have to be able to CO-MMUN-I-CATE, and be prepared to laugh
day and night. Recycling and basic resource awareness essential. No
George Bush posters. You can spell, pronounce and BE clean.
I have two dogs that are extremely cool. They would LOVE to live with
a cat, and so would I, so felines are welcome. Another dog would just
be too much I fear.
