All-Star Championship Wrestling has released three matches for the
upcoming Kickoff Karnage Tour, beginning next weekend, Saturday,
September 12.
For the ACW X-Division Championship, Champion Jerry Stylz defends
against the returning TW3, Thomas Walton III. Walton is a former
X-Division Champion, although when he last held the title, he did it by
winning a Fatal Four Way Match, so now it will be one on one. Walton is
every bit as hungry for the title (and the money and respect that goes
with it) as Stylz, so "who wants it more" will be the question.
For the ACW Heavyweight Championship, "Cadillac" Nick Colucci puts his
belt on the line against "Diamond" Dave Demone. Demone likes diamonds,
there's no doubt about that, but it seems like he's itching to have some
gold to go with his diamonds. Colucci has the history with the ACW
strap, though. That could factor into things.
ACW Tag Team Champions "The Weapons of Mass Dysfunction" Mason Quinn and
Dysfunction will be putting their titles on the line against suprise
opponents, as will NWA Wisconsin Champion Justin Dredd. Quinn and "Dys"
have experience as singles wrestlers, not so much as tag team wrestlers
(although Dysfunction did hold the NWA Wisconsin tag belts with Arya
Daivari). How well will Quinn and Dys mesh as a team, especially
against unknown opponents? Only one way to find out...
NWA Wisconsin Champion Justin Dredd is not new to championship belts or
defending them, and is unpredictable in style, having shown he can hold
his own with heavyweights as well as cruiserweights. The lack of
preparation for a specific opponent might hurt him, but the NWA
Wisconsin Championship is the highest pinnacle in Dredd's young career
right now, so you can bet he doesn't want to have the word "former"
added in front of his name. Dredd is without a doubt in his prime years
as a wrestler. Having the NWA Wisconsin Championship will open a lot of
doors for him, and he knows it.
ACW promises at least 8 wrestlers that haven't seen in at least one year
in ACW, some of whom you've NEVER seen in ACW, as the current match
listing stands at a whopping 11 matches, many of which pit two opponents
who have never faced each other before. Suffice it to say, this show
will unlike anything you've gotten used to seeing in the greater Green
Bay area.
ACW Kickoff Karnage on tour begins Sept. 12 at The Watering Hole in
Green Bay. Doors open at 7, and bell time is 7:30.
