This SUNDAY, July 26, NWA Wisconsin participates once again in the
Denmark Wisconsin Lion's Club Parade.
The parade is scheduled to start at 11:30, and if you haven't seen
wrestlers in a parade,
there's enough comedy in that to put David Letterman back to #1 in the
late night ratings.
After the parade is the wrestling.
Now here's the best part about it. It's FREE. No asterisks, stars or
anything else, the whole shindig is FREE. Yeah, there's a little-bitty,
teensy-weensy charge for the brew and the chow, but common, it's for a
good cause dontchaknow.
Now, let's head off the most frequently asked question at the pass.
Where is Denmark, Wisconsin? What's the address? Well, believe us when
we say that Denmark ain't that big a town. Google it, or look it up on
Wikipedia. Just don't blink when driving to it. You might miss it.
Now, just cuz the show is free doesn't mean that there's not gonna be
the top talent in NWA Wisconsin competing. There are gonna be titles on
the line, a boxing exhibition, motorcycle riding demons and more! Check
it out!
The NWA:Wisconsin Championship is on the line as Champion Shane Hills
defends against former ACW X-Division Champion, Justin Dredd. Dredd was
granted an NWA Midwest Championship title shot a few months back and
cashed it in at NWA Wisconsin Showdown at the Wrangler Inn. Although
Dredd didn't win the belt, thanks to the interference of Valerie Malone,
Dredd is undeterred in his desire to add to his title collection. Dredd
won the right to challenge Hills via a victory over Quinn at NWA
Showdown in Burgertown on Wednesday. Dredd has youth and his high-flying
ability on his side. Hills has power and experience on his side. Both
men can move quickly in the ring.
However, there is one more wrinkle. A special guest referee. The
former titleholder, Mason Quinn. At Retribution, Quinn teamed with
Hills to go against Commissioner William Sentowski's "Chosen Ones", and
has stated that while he respects Hills, he wants "his" belt back. So,
the question is, can Quinn call it "right down the middle" as the cliche
goes, or will he let Dredd come out with the belt?
Speaking of the NWA Midwest Championship and titleholder Silas Young,
he'll be in action too, against the newly crowned All-Star Championship
Wrestling Champion Nick Colucci, who picked up his third ACW title at
the aforementioned outagamie County Fair show Wednesday. If Colucci
picks up Silas' belt, it will be a real feather in his cap. Don't think
that Silas will make it easy for Colucci, though. We're pretty sure
Silas is quite comfortable with the extra time it takes to clear the
championship belt through customs. Colucci knows the feeling of the
extra weight of a title belt, and would love to have the NWA Midwest
belt on his mantle, too.
The ACW X-Division Championship is also on the line as Jerry Stylz
doesn't get to enjoy his title free of conflict, as the former champ,
Brandon Haze wants the title back. Naturally, Stylz doesn't want to be
giving it back, as he has been enjoying showing off the belt to all the
sorority girls at Duke University. Haze has also brought along The All
Canada Show for some positive motivation. Maybe Stylz can bring along
some Duke cheerleaders? In any case, Stylz will have to keep one eye on
the Canadians to make sure he can walk out with his title again.
The Hellriders (Sam Hayne, Steve Sadist and Jett Bennett) will ride once
again as they take on The Chosen Ones and Diamond Dave Demone. The
Chosen Ones faced Sadist before at All-Star Championship Wrestling's
Retribution, but this time Sadist rides with his brothers in leather
with The Hellriders, which formed at NWA Wisconsin at Showdown at the
Wrangler Inn. The Hellriders will show no mercy to the pretty boys that
are Commissioner Sentowski's Chosen Ones, but Diamond Dave will have
Jamie P. Ness
in his corner.
Mason Quinn will warm up to his referee role in the NWA Wisconsin
Championship match by taking on Mickey McCoy in singles action. McCoy
is used to having his brother Chase with him in tag team action, and it
has been a while since he's been a solo act. Don't think Mickey won't
bring Chase to ringside, though. Quinn likely won't be in a good mood
about the potential of having to wrestle both members of the reigning
NWA Wisconsin Tag Team Champions.
Dinn T. Moore, no doubt still fuming over the loss of his ACW
Championship four days ago at NWA Showdown in Burgertown, he now takes
on the returning "K-Train" Kody Rice, who returned at the aforementioned
show to battle (and defeat) the person whom Dinn T. defeated for the
title, Dysfunction.
Speaking of Dysfunction, he will take on the other half of the NWA
Wisconsin Tag Team Championship holders, Chase McCoy. As with Mickey,
Chase hasn't competed in singles action in quite a while. Assuming that
Mickey will accompany his brother to ringside likely won't matter much
to "Dys", who is about as fearless and insane as you will get. Expect
the unexpected here, as Dysfunction is not afraid to sacrifice his own
personal well-being and his body in order to win matches. Since the
McCoys aren't part of Commissioner Sentowski's Cabinet, that means all
bets are off. "Expect the unexpected".
Plus, there are two exhibition boxing matches featuring NWA Wisconsin
Head of Security Bruno and The Cabinet's Jamie P. Ness against opponents
of each other's choosing! This promises to be real interesting as Jamie
P. Ness has been chomping at the bit to get in the boxing ring with
Bruno, but the two are forbidden to touch each other until NWA Wisconsin
returns to Pulaski. Gotta come to the show to figure out who will be
their chosen representatives.
So that's NWA Wisconsin, in Denmark, Wisconsin, this Sunday, with the
parade beginning at 11, and followed up by FREE wrestling right after
(about 1). Don't miss it!
