ALL-STAR CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING PRESENTS MAXIMUM DETENTION 2008   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #345 of 421 |
FROM THE OFFICE OF THE ACW COMMISSIONER:

All-Star Championship Wrestling action returns to Baba Louie's in De
Pere at 419 Main Ave on Saturday, August 23rd for Maximum Detention
2008! Belltime is 7:30...don't be tardy, as we're out of hall passes.
Welcome back to school, kids. I've approved this lineup for the show:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

ACW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Mason Quinn (NWA Wisconsin champ) vs. "Cadillac" Nick Colucci (ACW
Champion)

A rematch from the Denmark Lions Club picnic exhibition. Quinn's NWA
Wisconsin heavyweight championship is NOT on the line, but Colluci's
newly won ACW heavyweight title is. Can Quinn earn yet another gold
belt? He failed to win the strap at the 10th Anniversary show
tournament finals, but we're sure Quinn isn't going to let the
opportunity to be the ACW AND the NWA Wisconsin Champion slip through
his fingers.

"Diamond" Dave Demone and Tony Mega (w/ The Weezel?) vs. Snakes on a
Train ("Snake Eyes" Jason Reilley & "K-Train" Kody Rice).

A lot of newcomers in that ring, but a lot of talent, too. Throw in a
Weezel, and there's bound to be a lot of action (and controversy, if
we know "Weez"!). ACW has seen a lack of depth in the tag division,
moreso now that the McCoys are trying their hand at singles action, so
maybe these teams are what the promotion needs to build some roster
depth. Mega has proven adept in singles action, and has also done
some tag team wrestling, as well. His versatility should suit him well.

TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM MATCH FOR THE ACW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
The Dream Police (Smokin' Don Gotti and "Cookie Cutter" Chris
Gambino)(C) vs. Jerry Stylz and "Simply Amazing" Justin Dredd vs. Mace
Morgan and Jared Johnsonville

Gotti and Gambino, fighting champs that they are, put the gold on the
line against 2, count 'em, 2 teams! One is new, but meshing
suprisingly well...Stylz and Dredd are like one of those old Reese's
Peanut Butter Cups ads..."two great tastes that taste great together."
Either that or The Odd Couple. The other is arguably the best tag
team down in Insane Championship Wrestling out of Milwaukee...Morgan
and Johnsonville. These guys are GOOD. Put it all together, and you've
got 6 guys in all, plus one helluva tag contest.

Dysfunction vs. Shane Hills

Ooh! A hard-hitting match! Both guys are physical, and both are former
ACW Heavyweight Champions...but both are capable of flat-out
WRESTLING, too. Shane has the size and power, but Dys has a bit more
speed and can fly, so this should be good. Neither one is afraid to
put their body on the line, either. Don't bother sitting down for
this one. Expect this to spill out all over Baba Louie's.
[BREAKING NEWS NOW...J-Ca$h added to Hills/Dysfunction match, making
it a Triple Threat...#1 contendership for ACW Heavyweight title on the
line!]

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH FOR #1 CONTENDERSHIP FOR ACW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Dysfunction vs. Shane Hills vs. J-Ca$h

J-Ca$h has asked to return to All-Star Championship Wrestling, and the
Commissioner has granted his reinstatement (a lot less messy than that
whole Favre thing, huh?) in one helluva splash-making way! In this
hard-hitting match, all three guys are physical, all are former ACW
Heavyweight Champions, all are looking to regain that gold, and all 3
men are capable of flat-out WRESTLING, too. Shane has the size and
power, Dys has a bit more speed, and J-Ca$h is a bit of both...plus,
if he hits you with the Ca$h Flow, it's over. Triple Threat
rules...meaning no eliminations; first pinfall wins the match and the
#1 contender spot. You can bet "Cadillac" Nick Colucci will be
watching this one with great interest, as the winner will be gunning
for his ACW heavyweight belt! We're certain Colucci would like to
hold that belt for a while, and he's been around long enough to do a
scouting report on all the competitors involved in this match.

ACW X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP:
Thomas Walton III vs. Mickey McCoy

As you saw if you were at Denmark, ACW is examining how the McCoy
brothers do in singles competition. Mickey, in the estimation of your
humble ACW Commissioner, Will "The Thrill" Sentowski, has earned a
shot at the ACW X-Division title...if nothing else, for that
RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME dive off the scaffolding while he and his brother
Chase were fighting The Dream Police for the tag titles. Thomas Walton
III, however, has proven quite the plucky champion himself, actually
pinning Tejas in Denmark! Walton has surprised a lot of people since
arriving in ACW as a "valet" of sorts for Ben Johnson's Congregation
and the "Comp Clique". Look for him to continue to impress. If
Mickey pulls this off, his stock shoots WAY up, plus, he'd be the
X-Division Champ. We're looking forward to a fantastic contest here.

Douglas "Do-Right" Peterson vs. Chase McCoy

Now here's two guys looking to move up the ladder...Chase being
somewhat less familiar with singles competition, after tagging so long
with his brother Mickey, and ol' Douglas, has been on the good end of
some fantastic victories lately, like the ACW Invitational Battle
Royal at the 10th Anniversary Show! (See how things keep tying back to
that show? We just pasted our results, so it can all be fresh in your
mind.) Let's see what they can do to each other one-on-one in the ACW
ring.

Check out the piece NBC 26 in Green Bay did about Maximum Detention
last year.

ALSO, BREAKING NEWS FROM THE COMMISH...

...the raffle grand prize for this show is a pair of tickets to WWE's
ECW/Friday Night SmackDown! taping at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee
on September 9th! WOW!
