After the events of ACW's Maximum Detention 2007, Rev. Ben Johnson's
former Congregation turned against him. Ben, perhaps suspecting a
betrayal, bought an insurance policy—an insurance policy named Sam
Hayne! Now, the former Congregation, now known as the Comp Clique,
is seeking revenge against Johnson and the former (and final) ACW
Champion Hayne and All-Star Championship Wrestling is ready to
Unleash the Demon on October 20 from Baba Louies!
The night kicks off with the 5th Annual Spook-A-Roo Battle Royal.
The Spook-A-Roo has always been an event that has led to bigger and
better things for the winner. Previous winners include Arya Daivari
(brother to Shawn Daivari), who went on to win the NWA Wisconsin (NWA
WI) Tag Team Championship, and Shortstack, now known as Hornswaggle
McMahon, a former ACW X-Division Champion.
The ring announcer for the night, "Goldust" announces the first
entrant in the Spook-A-Roo, Mega The Barbarian (Tony Mega), followed
by Señor Bag of Trash (C. Martin McClure, portraying a character
developed by Ben Johnson from when he first got involved in
wrestling); the "Blue World Order", "Hollywood" Nova, Big Stevie Cool
and "The Blue Guy". The Blue Guy shows off his "physique" to the
crowd as Thomas Walton III, portraying Steve Urkel, heads to the
ring. In a contrast of styles (no pun intended), Jerry Hasselhoff
(Jerry Stylz) rushes to ringside in slow motion to join the fracas as
Ultimus Maximus (Markus Maximus) sprints to ringside, shaking the
ropes, and letting out a bellow to let the crowd know he has
arrived. The "Fonz" Douglas Do-Right makes his way to ringside, and
is followed by "Two Dudes From The Future", a futuristic masked tag
team, Mr. Mexico, and another former ECW Superstar in the "Sandman".
With all the competitors in the ring, the 5th Annual Spook-A-Roo
Battle Royal is underway! Señor Bag of Trash finds himself living up
to his name as he is the first eliminated from the battle royal,
while Ultimus Maximus is trying his best to send Steve Urkel over the
top rope and "Blue Meanie" is adjusting his "hair" in the
ring. "Sandman" finds himself with plenty of time to drink beer, as
he is the second eliminated from the Spook-A-Roo, by "Two Dudes From
The Future". The "Blue World Order" shows some teamwork as they
battle Mega the Barbarian and while Ultimus Maximus fails in
his "ultimate" quest to eliminate Steve Urkel, Jerry Hasselhoff
succeeds in eliminating Ultimus Maximus, sending the big man to the
floor and "Blue Meanie" finds himself violated anally by a horn from
the helmet of Mega the Barbarian. Meanie finds himself down a bWo
member during the confusion as "Hollywood" is eliminated. Meanie
finds himself in more trouble as The Mexican works over him. As
Meanie fights off The Mexican, and Fonz finds himself in trouble,
they are actually the lucky ones as more competitors are eliminated
from the Spook-A-Roo, perhaps losing a shot at the greatness that has
followed other winners of the Spook-A-Roo. Mr. Mexico finds himself
eliminated, followed rapidly by both members of "Two Dudes From The
Future". Jerry Hasselhoff eliminates Mega the Barbarian, and moves
on to The Fonz, as one icon of "cool" battles another. Hasselhoff
works over Fonz in the corner, whipping in Fonz. Fonz fights back
with a big boot to the face of Jerry Hasselhoff, following up with a
nice clothesline, leaving Jerry Hasselhoff in trouble. Fonz follows
up with a dropkick, leaving Jerry Hasselhoff in the corner, begging
for a time out, but of course, there are no time outs in wrestling.
Hasselhoff tries to talk his way out of the fight with the Fonz, but
as Fonz backs off for a moment, Jerry Hasselhoff capitalises, and
eliminates Fonzie, winning the Spook-A-Roo!
In each of the previous years of the Spook-A-Roo, each of the winners
has moved on to greatness in ACW and beyond, from Jack Berzerker, who
is a former tag team champion with fellow ACW veteran Lone Wolf, to
former UFC and shootfighting champion Adrian Serrano, also an NWA
Wisconsin champion; Shortstack, now known as the "Little Bastard",
Hornswaggle McMahon; and Arya Daivari, little brother to former WWE
Superstar Shawn Daivari, who in his short time as a pro has proven
himself more than worthy to the name Daivari, and a capable wrestler
in his own right, achieving the prestigious NWA Wisconsin Tag Team
Championship with Dysfunction. Will the future hold similar success
for Stylz, or will he be the exception?
The first singles match of the night is a 15-minute contest between
rookie "Tattoo" Mark Priebe and from "The Wonderful World of
Fantasia", Bobby V. The contest starts with Bobby V grabbing the arm
of Priebe as they lock up, applying a hammerlock, but Priebe spins
out, and Bobby shifts to an arm drag. Priebe, in a display of his
athleticism, somersaults out of the move and reverses it. Bobby,
however, uses the same move as Priebe to escape himself. Bobby ducks
under Priebe in an attempt to reverse the hold, but fails and then
tries to go over the top, bringing Priebe down to the mat, where he
places him in a chinlock. Priebe fights his way to his feet, and
grabs at Bobby's arm again. Bobby somersaults his way out of the
move and reverses it on Priebe, going back to the same actions that
started this contest.
Bobby utilises good strategy, working on the one body part,
headbutting the arm to weaken it further. Priebe reverses the hold
again with a somersault, as both wrestlers show their agility and
flexibility. Bobby, in an attempt to escape, moves to the ropes and
reverses the hold by jumping onto the second rope, and vaulting over
the head of Priebe, and kicking Priebe in the face. Bobby continues
his offence, chopping away at the chest of Priebe. Bobby bounces off
the ropes again, this time taking down Priebe with a dropkick, and
when the tattooed one regains his footing, Bobby takes him down to
the mat again with a headscissors. Priebe rises again, but is taken
right back down by Bobby, falling victim to the same move that
brought him down earlier. Bobby moves Mark Priebe to the corner,
chopping away at Priebe as the referee counts for Bobby to bring him
out of the corner. Bobby complies, and whips Priebe into the
opposite corner, and follows up, but Priebe moves outside the ring on
the apron, and delivers a nice elbow to the face of Bobby. Priebe
now takes advantage of the situation, hopping back in the ring, he
charges at Bobby, and ducks under his legs as the action spills out
of the ring. Bobby takes control of the match on the outside as the
referee counts out the two athletes. Bobby rolls the tattooed one
back inside the ring and the battle continues.
Bobby scales the turnbuckles to the top and launches himself
at "Tattoo" with a flying bodypress and a cover, hooking the leg, but
only manages a two count before the tattooed one kicks out. Bobby
drags Priebe to the centre of the ring and scales the turnbuckles
once more, but before he can launch himself off, Priebe shoves the
referee into the corner, and Bobby straddles the top rope, in what
must be an extremely unpleasant situation. Priebe shoves off Bobby
to the outside, scales the turnbuckles himself, and launches himself
to the outside, stomping on the chest of Bobby after downing him.
The rookie rolls Bobby back into the ring, and covers him, hooking
the leg, but only scores a two count. Priebe continues to weaken
Bobby by stomping on his chest, and then attempts to submit Bobby by
pulling his legs under the bottom rope, and his chest over the center
rope, stretching him and pulling his face, before kicking him in the
back of the head. Bobby dangles from the second rope before falling
over the bottom rope. Priebe covers Bobby again, but only gets a two
count. Priebe covers Bobby again, this time hooking the leg, but
still can only keep him down for a count of two. Priebe hoists Bobby
up on his shoulders, setting him up for a powerbomb, but Bobby grabs
hold of Priebe, and pulls Priebe down, rolling through the move, and
covering Priebe, but only gets a two count himself. Bobby stands
Priebe up in the corner, stunning him with a series of forearms to
the face. Bobby sends Priebe into the opposite corner, and follows
up, but Priebe steps out of the way, and trips Bobby, sending him
face first into the turnbuckle. Priebe sets up Bobby again for a
powerbomb, but instead sends Bobby into the turnbuckle from atop his
shoulders. Priebe drags Bobby to the center of the ring again, and
covers him, hooking the leg, but Bobby again kicks out. Considering
the punishment Bobby took, it's surprising that he managed to kick
out.
Priebe scoops and slams Bobby, following up with stomps to the chest
before splashing him and covering him for another two count. As both
men regain their footing, Priebe uses forearm blows to manoeuvre
Bobby back into the corner. Priebe backs Bobby into the corner, then
charges him from the opposite corner, as a "Let's go Bobby" chant
from the crowd begins. Bobby, however, is more prepared than Priebe
thinks, and he sends Preiebe flying over the top rope, but Priebe
lands on the apron and lands a big kick to the side of Bobby's head,
staggering him. Priebe climbs to the top rope, and springboards from
it, landing a double axhandle to the head of Bobby, downing him
again.
With both men down on the mat, the referee starts to count them out.
Both men slowly attempt to regain their footing, moving towards each
other as they stand up. Although Priebe is the first to his feet,
Bobby rises to his feet at nearly the same time, and returns to the
offensive with a flurry of punches and a European uppercut, sending
Priebe down to the mat. Bobby picks up Priebe and tackles him
headfirst, slamming it into the mat, following up with a dropkick as
Priebe rises to his feet, sending Priebe crashing to the mat again.
Bobby brings Priebe up by his long hair and clamps on a side
headlock, turning it into a bulldog where he slams Priebe's face into
the middle turnbuckle, sliding himself outside the ring and to safety
in the process. Bobby continues his assault on the head and neck of
Priebe, slamming Priebe's neck into the middle turnbuckle, he climbs
back into the ring and dropkicks Priebe's neck into the turnbuckle.
He rolls up Priebe for the pin, but only scores a two count. Bobby
argues with the ref, insisting he should have had Priebe pinned.
Bobby yanks up Priebe by the hair again, and attempts a backslide,
but Priebe reverses, sending Bobby into the ropes, taking Bobby to
the mat with a spin heel kick to the chops. Priebe scoops up Bobby
and takes him down to the mat again with an FU, covering him and
hooking both legs, but again, Bobby manages to kick out at two,
shoving Priebe into the corner.
Bobby rises to his feet, taking Priebe by the arm, but Priebe shoves
off Bobby before he is able to do anything. Bobby mule kicks Priebe
in the groin, grabs Priebe in a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, then mounts
the top turnbuckle, and somersault splashes Priebe, covering him the
pin and the win.
The next match is scheduled to be a tag team match with Adrian Lynch
and Jerry Styles, according to the ring announcer, but ACW
Commissioner Rev. Ben Johnson comes to ringside and makes the
announcement that due to his victory over Thomas Walton III at
Maximum Detention the previous month, Markus Maximus will now face
Jerry Stylz in singles competition, and Stylz won't be able to
wriggle his way out of taking on the big man. Maximus will now get
his long-awaited revenge and rematch against Stylz. The crowd is
incredibly enthusiastic about this development, and begin a chant
that Stylz has a "man-crush" on his tag team partner, Lynch, which
might not be that much of a stretch, while Markus Maximus eggs on
Stylz. Stylz, fuming, is eager to start the match and humiliate the
big man again, and the referee has to actually push Stylz back,
telling him to wait until he officially starts the contest. Despite
his eagerness to start the match, that doesn't stop Stlyz from
complaining to anyone who can hear him how unfair it is that he has
to face Markus Maximus again, claiming he already defeated him before
(At ACW Maximum Detention, last month), which is an accurate claim.
Of course, the footnote to the win would mention the outside
interference Stylz needed to topple Maximus, but unfortunately, as
the referee did not see Stylz cheating, the victory stands as is.
Maximus introduces a little bit of his own psychological warfare, the
person whom he would have teamed with tonight, Douglas "Do-Right"
Peterson, who makes his way around ringside in his usual fashion,
shaking the hand of every person in attendance, showing why he has
the nickname "The Nicest Guy in ACW". Then, Maximus unveils another
surprise, announcing that Douglas Do-Right will be wrestling Jerry
Stylz tonight.
Finally making his way to the ring, Do-Right shakes the hand of the
referee right before the bell sounds, officially starting the match.
Stylz starts off the match attacking Do-Right from behind, utilising
a series of forearms across the back. Shoving him into the ropes,
Stylz follows up with some more forearms and a back suplex before
covering Do-Right and hooking his leg for more leverage. Despite
the quick start, Stylz can only get a two count on Do-Right.
Stylz, undeterred, picks up Do-Right into a side slam. Stylz boasts
to the crowd about how he has had all of the offence so far this
contest, when Do-Right suddenly rolls up Stylz from behind into a
small package. A surprised Stylz is unable to kick out in time, and
Douglas Do-Right picks up a big win against Jerry Stylz.
A furious Stylz throws a huge tantrum outside the ring, fuming over
the loss. Adrian Lynch comes to ringside clearly not happy with his
tag team partner, grabbing Stylz by the ear, and throwing him in the
ring so he can have a word with him. Lynch motions for the
microphone from the ring announcer and addressing crowd taunts
of "Mrs. Stylz", bellows that he wants a "divorce", demanding to know
what is going on with Stylz, but when a clearly flustered Stylz opens
his mouth to explain, Lynch immediately roars for him to shut up.
The crowd starts to chant, "You suck dick" at Stylz. Lynch screams
at Stylz that he has tried and tried to help him, but Stylz just does
not listen to him, and threatens to have Stylz sit in the corner
wearing a dunce hat, which would be an interesting visual. Lynch
then challenges for Markus Maximus to take him on, while Stylz sits
in the corner (sans dunce hat, unfortunately).
Maximus accepts Lynch's challenge, and the match is made official.
Lynch sits Stylz in the corner, and makes sure he is in the corner as
the bell is rung and the impromptu match is underway. A chant goes
out from the crowd of "Lynch's bitch", directed at Stylz, which isn't
exactly all that far from the truth. Stylz is up on the apron,
conferring with Lynch. No action so far in the contest, but as Stylz
distracts Maximus, Lynch attacks! Lynch continues to pummel Markus
Maximus with hard right hand, and the referee warns Lynch about the
closed fists. Lynch continues to work over Maximus with a series of
fists to the back. Taking Maximus' arm, Lynch kicks at it, following
up with more fists in the back of Markus Maximus.
Lynch breaks from his offence as he turns to his corner and remands
Jerry Stylz to his seat again. Lynch's momentary distraction has
done nothing to quell his current favourable position in the match,
as he clamps on a side headlock, while continuing to punch at Markus
Maximus. So far in this contest, Lynch has just dominated the bigger
man, and has thus far, also wrestled a clean match, perhaps in an
effort to show up Stylz.
Maximus breaks free from Lynch's headlock, and bounds off the ropes,
tacking Lynch, and covering him, hooking the leg, but can't keep him
down. Lynch, now really not happy, rises to his feet, and delivers a
hard kick to the midsection of Maximus. Lynch returns to the
standing side headlock, an old standby manoeuvre of his, and punches
Maximus, knocking down the big man once again.
Maximus rises to his feet and punches Lynch in the midsection. Lynch
returns fire with a kick to the midsection of Maximus. Lynch picks
up and slams the big man, promptly covering him, but only succeeds in
a two count. Lynch clamps on what appears to be a sleeper, but may
be a choke, as the referee checks to make sure. Lynch shifts to a
side headlock, but Maximus slowly begins to power out, rising to his
knees, and delivering some well-placed elbows to the gut of Lynch,
loosening the headlock as he goes. Maximus, now free, heads to the
ropes, but Lynch, who drops the big man down again with a knee lift
to the midsection as Maximus was coming off the ropes, cuts off his
momentum.
Picking up Maximus, Lynch sends him back down to the mat with another
punch. Lynch adds insult to injury as he slaps the bigger Maximus
right across the face. Lynch takes the opportunity to argue with the
referee, as he keeps Maximus in the corner, so Jerry Stylz can
interfere, draping Maximus' head over the bottom rope, choking him.
Having done his dirty work for Lynch, Stylz sits back down, and Lynch
regains his offensive posture, kicking Maximus in the side of the
head, as he lies limp over the bottom rope. Lynch scoops up Maximus,
but Maximus shows some signs of life, punching Lynch in the
midsection. Lynch retaliates by throwing Maximus to the mat on his
face.
Lynch rolls over Maximus for the pin, but Maximus kicks out at two.
Lynch complains to the referee of a slow count as both wrestlers rise
to their feet again. The crowd begins another chant, this time
directed at Lynch, calling him "Porky Pig", and an angered Lynch
takes out his frustrations on Markus Maximus, slapping him again
before sending him into the corner and kicking him in the midsection
once again. Lynch whips Maximus out of the corner, sending him right
into a short arm clothesline. Lynch follows up, picking up and
whipping Maximus into the opposite corner. Maximus charges Lynch,
who attempts to punch Maximus again, but Maximus ducks. With Lynch
off-balance from the punch, Maxiums takes advantage of the situation
and Lynch's surprise to roll him up for a surprise pin!
Lynch, furious, kicks Maximus, shoves the referee out of the way as
he tries to stop him, and then DDT'ing Maximus. Lynch orders Stylz
to get a chair for him. The referee attempts to stop Lynch again,
but Lynch shoves him out of his way again. The referee physically
grabs the chair from Lynch, risking his own well-being in the
process. Lynch orders Stylz to continue to attack at the prone
Maximus, but the big man recovers, picking up Jerry Stylz in a choke,
but Stylz breaks Maximus' hold on him with a punch. Stylz attempts
to follow up by whipping Maximus into the ropes, but Maximus
reverses, sending Stylz into the ropes, sending him crashing down to
the mat with a thunderous clothesline. Maximus picks up Stylz, but
Stylz fells the big man, sending him splattering to the canvas face
first, giving Stylz the opportunity to inflict further punishment on
Maximus, applying a crossface, as the referee struggles to pull Stylz
off Maximus. Stylz finally leaves, having done what he needed to do,
leaving Maximus prone in the center of the ring, calling for security
to help Markus Maximus to the back. Maximus' friend, Douglas Do-
Right and several members of the security team assist in standing
Maximus and getting him out of the ring and to the back. Although
sore, Maximus won a huge victory tonight, defeating the veteran
Lynch, who had the majority of the offence throughout the match, and
it was only Lynch's carelessness that was his undoing.
The Comp Clique now comes down to ringside, and Tejas takes the
microphone, saying that they cannot be controlled and that there will
be repercussions for Rev. Ben Johnson's betrayal (although it sure
seemed like they betrayed Ben, not the other way around). Tejas says
that it doesn't matter what Sam Hayne does, there's only one person
who will be burned, and it's not going to be him. "Cadillac" Nick
Colucci boasts about his upcoming match with J-Ca$h tonight, claiming
that Ca$h isn't a big star here in ACW. The crowd sure seems to have
a different opinion of the former ACW Champion than Colucci does.
Tony Mega faces "el Vato" Jose Guerrero in the next contest. Vato
starts the match outside the ring with Mega, slamming the head of
Mega against the ring before dragging him inside, slipping him into a
side headlock takedown designed to wear down Mega. Vato changes the
hold up to a leg scissors around the neck of Mega, continuing to
control the match at this point.
Having had to break the hold around Mega's neck, Vato hams it up by
twisting at the nipple of Mega, trying to get under the skin of the
talented rookie. Vato brings Mega down to the mat by his nipples,
but Mega isn't down for long, as he delivers a boot to the throat
area of Vato, slapping at Vato's face, and also delivering a forearm
to Vato before Irish whipping Vato into the ropes and clotheslining
him down to the mat. Mega backs into the ropes, and delivers a kick
to Vato, felling him. Mega takes advantage of the situation,
covering Vato, but is unable to keep the crafty veteran down. Mega
now puts Vato in a headlock, but as Vato struggles to escape the
headlock, Mega adds to the pressure, and brings Vato back down again,
covering him again, but still unable to keep Vato down. Mega shifts
strategies a bit from wear down holds to a more offensive front,
delivering a backbreaker to Vato, covering him and hooking the leg,
and manages to get a two count, but it's still not enough to get the
win.
Mega, still in control, rocks Vato with a series of right hand
punches. Vato, known for his antics, pulls out a mask, and puts it
on, hoping to fool the referee. It's unsure if Vato is fooling
anyone but himself tonight, but he tries anyhow. Vato tackles Mega,
sending them both to the outside. Vato regains the offence, slamming
Mega outside the ring, as the referee counts them both out. Vato
finally throws Mega back in, waiting a few seconds before rolling in
himself, but the precious seconds he waited has allowed Mega to
regain control of the match, with a series of punches and kicks to
the back, as he tries to remove Vato's mask. Finally succeeding in
removing the mask, Mega flings it outside the ring. Mega lands some
hard right hands to Vato, but Vato retaliates, Three Stooges style,
with an eye poke to Mega, and shows his own wrestling chops with a
dropkick to Mega. Vato quickly rushes to get his mask, and putting
it on again, he covers Mega, but only for a two count. Had he not
wasted time with the mask, there is a chance he may have been able to
put away Mega.
Pulling up Mega, Vato learns that the rookie is down but not out, as
Mega kicks Vato in the midsection, following up with a scoop and a
slam. Mega goes for a 450 splash from the top rope, but misses Vato,
who moves at the last second.
With both men prone on the mat, the referee begins to count them both
down. Although both men are slow to rise, it is Vato who rises to
his feet first, taking down a shaken and wobbly Mega with a
clothesline. Vato scoops up Mega for a face-front powerbomb, showing
that he, too, can wrestle as he rolls Mega over for the pin. Mega
kicks out at two. Vato prematurely celebrates, believing it to be a
three count, and is surprised to learn that it isn't. Mega takes
advantage of Vato's confusion, with a kick to the midsection again
and suplexing Vato. Mega covers Vato, but he, too, can only get a
two count. Mega attempts to lift Vato for another suplex, but Vato
places his foot around Mega's leg, preventing him from lifting Vato
up. Mega tries again, and again is blocked by Vato. Vato now brings
down Mega, dropping him on his face, he quickly rolls him over for a
pin and picks up a win here tonight.
The former Annthraxx, now known as Ann Brookstone, who defeated Bobby
V the previous night at NWA WI Warfare At Waverly Beach siding with
the Comp Clique now faces an x-factor in Mystique, the second of Sam
Hayne. Mystique's in-ring abilities remain unknown and it is also
not known whether Sam Hayne will be present at ringside to lend a
hand if needed. Mystique is clearly the favourite of the crowd at
Baba Louie's, coming out to a great response. Mystique starts out
early with a surprise rollup of Ann. Mystique scores a two count on
the surprised Ann. Ann takes to the outside of the ring to regroup,
as a "nasty" chant resonates from the crowd, directed towards Ann.
Ann, not thrilled with either the chant, or the rollup, claiming
she "wasn't ready", and since the bell has yet to ring, she has a
valid case.
Mystique and Ann try to lock up, but Mystique goes behind and rolls
up Ann for another two count. Ann complains about Mystique pulling
her hair. Mystique responds to the claim by scooping up and slamming
Ann to the mat. Ann rolls outside the ring to regroup and break the
momentum of Mystique. Now a new chant of "chicken" is directed at
Ann from the crowd, further annoying and upsetting Ann. Mystique
doesn't wait for Ann to return to the ring this time, sliding out
herself and landing some punches across the back of Ann. Mystique
throws Ann back inside the ring, before rolling in herself.
However, the few seconds between Ann getting in the ring and Mystique
is all Ann needed to take charge of the match from Mystique, grabbing
her, putting her in the corner and trying to strangle her on the ring
ropes. Ann turns Mystique around, pushing her up against the top
rope and lands some chops across the chest. As Mystique falls to the
mat, Ann picks her up, pushes her up against the ropes again, and
this time shoves her foot into the gut of Mystique. Mystique tries
to regain her footing, and Ann helps her up, sending her into the
ropes in an Irish whip, which Mystique reverses, sending Ann into the
ropes instead. However, Mystique telegraphs the offensive manoeuvre
she was intending, and Ann sees it coming, and throws Mystique down
to the mat again, quashing her attempt at offence. Ann rolls over
Mystique for a pin attempt, hooking her leg, but only gets a two
count. Ann gripes to the referee about a slow count.
Ann rolls Mystique onto her belly, grabbing her legs, almost in a
Boston crab, and then her arms, pulling them, stretching the body of
Mystique, creating a tremendous amount of pressure on Mystique's
spine, trying to get her to submit. Dropping her legs, Ann pulls on
Mystique's arms and shoves her knee into the small of Mystique's
back, adding additional pressure. Dropping Mystique, she rolls her
over again, hooking the leg, anticipating she has weakened Mystique's
back enough that she shouldn't be able to kick out. However,
Mystique kicks out again at the count of two. Ann throws Mystique
into the corner, and rams her in the midsection with her head. Ann
follows up, punching at Mystique, but Mystique has had enough,
swinging Ann around into the corner, and landing several punches of
her own to the gut of Ann. Mystique whips Ann across the ring, and
Ann lands flat on her face near the opposite corner of the ring.
Mystique quickly follows up, picking up Ann, shoving her in the
corner, and chopping at her. Ann now gets fed up with Mystique's
offence, reversing their position and landing some chops of her own.
Ann downs Mystique with a snap mare, bringing her into a rear
chinlock. The referee checks for a choke and to make sure Mystique
doesn't want to submit. Mystique continues to struggle to her feet,
punching Ann in the midsection, but Ann grabs at Mystique's long
hair, pulling her right back down. Mystique rises to her feet again,
and this time, Ann lets her, whipping her into the ropes. Myqtique
comes back with a clothesline, and is met by Ann's clothesline at the
same time.
Both ladies collapse to the mat, victims of a double clothesline.
The referee starts to count both ladies out, and both ladies rise to
their feet at about the same time. Ann rears back, delivering a big
slap to Mystique, but Mystique smacks Ann right back, no slouch
herself. Ann tries to punch Mystique, but it is blocked, and she
slugs her right back, sending Ann into the corner. Mystique with an
Irish whip sends Ann to the opposite corner, following up with a
clothesline, taking Ann off her feet with it. Mystique continues the
offence on Ann with a back elbow and a headbutt to Ann's belly,
sending Ann down to the mat. Mystique picks up Ann, and punches her
in the ribs again. Ann spots an opening in Mystique's offence to
scoop up and slam her down, but Mystique is quicker to her feet than
Ann had expected. Mystique comes out of nowhere with an inverted
DDT, quickly covering Ann for the pin and the win! Ann, not at all
happy with the decision grabs at Mystique, flinging her to the mat,
and both women throw away any wrestling knowledge they had, as an all-
out catfight breaks out between these two in the center of the ring.
Security rushes in as these two ladies scratch and claw, rip and tear
at each other. Security physically separates the two, but there is
still fight in these two women, as Mystique refuses to back down from
Ann. Ann breaks away from security, grabbing at Mystique again, and
security has to pull Ann off again, and keep them separated as both
women issue verbal threats to each other. Ann turns her attention to
the crowd as she is pulled off of Mystique, verbally blasting the
state of Wisconsin. As Ann is forcibly escorted to the back,
Mystique gets to celebrate her win in the center of the ring.
In tag tam action, the ACW Tag Team Champions, the popular "Dream
Police", Don Gotti & "Cookie Cutter" Chris Gambino meet up with the
NWA Wisconsin Tag Team Champions, Arya Daivari and Dysfunction. The
crowd is almost evenly split between these two teams, both incredibly
popular among the crowd at Baba Louie's. Daivari and Gotti begin the
match, which starts out with a handshake. Both teams have a
tremendous amount of respect for each other, both teams not only
current champions, but all the members of the teams have held gold on
their own, as well. Daivari uses a single leg takedown to bring
Gotti down to the mat right away. Gotti tags out to his partner
Gambino, so Daivari tags out to Dysfunction. Almost on cue, the crowd
starts to chant "Dysfunction". Gambino extends a hand to Dys in a
show of respect, but Dysfunction spits on it. Gambino tries to grab
at Dysfunction, but Dys pushes away Gambino, and punches him in the
head. Gambino returns the favour with several forearms to the head
of Dysfunction, moving him back into the corner. Gambino tries to
avalanche Dys, but misses, and Dys lands an elbow to the back of
Gambino and follows up with a kick to the back of the big man
Gambino. It takes two kicks in addition to the punishment previously
levied against Gambino to bring the big man to the mat. Dys climbs
to the second turnbuckle and jumps off, landing on the back of
Gambino with a double stomp.
Dysfunction reaches to tag in Daivari again, and they double Irish
whip Gambino to the ropes. Gambino ducks the double clothesline Dys
and Daivari intend for him, but returns the favour with a clothesline
of his own, knocking the two down. Dysfunction lands outside the
ring, while Daivari is inside. Gambino tags out to Gotti, both teams
utilising a quick tag strategy, so no single member of the team is
inside for too long, and risks getting too fatigued from not
tagging.
Daivari ends up in the wrong corner, as The Dream Police Irish whip
Daivari into the ropes, and set him up for a double power slam.
Gotti hooks Daivari in a snap suplex and covers him for a two count.
Gotti rains down punches on Daivari, and almost Irish whips him
again, but changes over to an arm drag. Daivari, having learned from
his partner and his brother, turns the negative into a positive by
DDT'ing Gotti. Daivari tags out to Dysfunction, who immediately
continues the punishment of Gotti, by stomping on his back. Dys
takes down Gotti with a snap mare, and kicks him in the back again.
Dys picks Gotti up, and sends him into the ropes, greeting him with a
big kick to the head on the way back. Dysfunction rolls over Gotti
to cover him, but only gets a two count.
Dysfunction stands up Gotti again, and chops him hard, knocking him
down so he can stomp on the belly of Gotti, knocking the wind out of
him. Dys tags out again to his corner, and they quickly utilise some
double team manoeuvres, taking full advantage of the five count as
Dysfunction flips Gotti over his head, and then exits the ring,
letting Daivari cover him. Gotti kicks out at two. Daivari picks up
Gotti, and Irish whips him into the ropes, greeting Gotti on the way
back with a drop kick, sending Gotti down to the mat again. Daivari
covers Gotti again, hooking the leg, but Gotti again kicks out at
two.
Daivari chooses to let Gotti stay grounded this time, sitting on his
back with a rear chinlock in a manoeuvre similar to a camel clutch.
The crowd begins to chant for Gotti, hoping to motivate him. Gotti
uses the crowd response to motivate him, as he rises to his feet,
elbowing Daivari in the ribs. Gotti whips Daivari into the ropes,
but Daivari reverses, sending Gotti into the ropes. Gotti ducks
under Daivari's clothesline, and brings Daivari down with a reverse
neckbreaker. The referee begins to count both men down. This match
has truly been a seesaw battle between the two championship teams.
Gotti is the first to his feet, and quickly tags out to his partner,
Gambino. Gambino goes at it with Daivari. Dysfunction illegally
enters the ring to kick at the head of Gambino. The referee caught
the rule infraction and immediately sends Dys back to the corner,
yelling at him to not do that again. However, the purpose was to buy
Daivari some precious seconds to make his way over to Dysfunction, so
he can tag out. With Gotti back in the ring, Dys starts chopping
away at him, and Gotti responds in kind. Gotti Irish whips
Dysfunction into the ropes, but Dys reverses it, and ties up Gotti,
sending him flat on the mat, landing on his belly. Dys drags Gotti
to the center of the ring as Daivari scales the turnbuckles for
the "Magic Carpet Ride". Daivari launches himself at Gotti, but
Gotti moves out of the way at the last second, and Daivari comes
crashing down hard on the mat. Dysfunction is still the legal man
in, and takes advantage of the situation with a clothesline, which
misses its intended target. Dysfunction attempts a dropkick, which
would have been more successful, had not Gotti had the same idea at
the same time, and both men are down on the mat. With Dysfunction
down, Gambino now takes on Arya Daivari, lifting him up on his
shoulders, as Gotti climbs the ropes, taking down Daivari with a
clothesline.
Suddenly, Chase and Mickey McCoy run down to the ring, beating on the
Dream Police with their own tag team championship belts! Then, they
turn their attention to Dysfunction. The McCoys want tag team gold,
and they don't care which belts they get. Chase covers Gotti for a
pin. It's not a legal pin, but it doesn't matter at this juncture.
The referee disqualifies Dysfunction and Daivari, but allows the
McCoys to take their place in the match, and the action continues.
Chase tags to Mickey, and they have Gotti in trouble in their
corner. Mickey whips Gotti into the ropes and takes him down with a
clothesline. He covers Gotti, but Gotti is able to kick out at two.
McCoy punches at Gotti, and covers him again, but again Gotti kicks
out. Mickey is upset at the referee, feeling he's not counting fast
enough, and tags out to Chase.
Chase drops a leg on Gotti and covers him, hooking the leg, but Gotti
is still able to kick out at two. Chase applies a camel clutch on
Gotti, and after trying to wear him down for a few moments, rolls him
over to attempt another pin, but Gotti once again manages to escape
the pin. Gotti now takes over the offence of the match with a series
of punches to Chase. Chase halts Gotti by raking at his eyes. The
Dream Police are still the favourites, and the crowd starts another
chant for Gotti. Chase again covers Gotti, and again is only able to
get a two count before Gotti kicks out. Mickey puts in his two cents
and delivers a forearm to the face of Gotti. Both Chase and Gotti
are down on the mat. Chase tries to bring down Gotti with a
clothesline, but Gotti shows some agility and somersaults over Chase
to tag out to his corner, bringing in the "Cookie Cutter".
Gambino cleans house on both McCoys with several punches, dropping
them with huge "Bionic elbows", using the move made famous by
Gambino's wrestling idol, Dusty Rhodes. Gambino scoops up Mickey and
gives him a huge powerslam. Gambino picks up Mickey, Irish whips him
into the corner, and then crushes him with an avalanche. Gambino
goes for a second attempt, but this time, Mickey was ready for him,
and Gambino runs face first into the championship belt that Mickey
quickly grabbed. McCoy takes advantage of the situation, covering
Gambino, hooking both legs. The referee is in position, and counts
to three, giving the pinfall victory and the ACW Tag Team
Championship to the McCoy brothers, Chase and Mickey!
J-Ca$h finally gets his chance for one-on-one revenge
against "Cadillac" Nick Colucci. Colucci nearly ended the career of
the former ACW Heavyweight Champion by severely injuring Ca$h's
knees. It's certain that Colucci will attack the known weak spot of
Ca$h.
Accompanying Colucci to the ring are other members of the Comp
Clique, C. Martin McClure and Thomas Walton III. J-Ca$h chases out
of the ring the other members of the Comp Clique. Ca$h is looking
for revenge, and is not about to let the Comp Clique stand in his
way. The crowd is clearly behind the ACW veteran Ca$h.
Ca$h and Colucci lock up, and just as quickly separate, neither man
gaining the advantage. They lock up again, and it would seem Colucci
has the advantage, as he backs Ca$h to wards the corner, but Ca$h
makes his way back towards the center of the ring and pushes Colucci
to the corner. The two men work their way around the side of the
ring, and Colucci breaks the lock up again. They lock up a third
time, and Colucci goes around the waist, as Ca$h struggles to break
free. Colucci slams Ca$h in the midsection to deter Ca$h from
breaking free. Ca$h, undeterred, tries to break free again. Colucci
changes the hold to a wristlock, and then brings it around into a
hammerlock. Colucci moves Ca$h to the corner turnbuckle, pushing him
into it, keeping the pressure on his arm, likely trying to insure
that Ca$h is unable to give his "Ca$h Flow" to Colucci. Colucci
clamps down some more on the arm, and whips Ca$h into the ropes, but
Ca$h reverses, sending Colucci into the ropes instead. Ca$h catches
Colucci with a flying tackle off the ropes, and immediately launches
into a series of punches to the face of Colucci. Colucci struggles
to protect his head as the referee attempts to separate the two men
from one another.
Ca$h backs Colucci into the corner, and Irish whips him into the
opposite corner. Colucci hits the turnbuckles full force, stunning
him. Ca$h continues his offence on Colucci, elbowing him,
clotheslining and bulldogging Colucci. Ca$h rolls Colucci up for a
pin and hooks the leg, but isn't able to keep him down for a three
count.
Colucci regains the advantage and begins to work over the bad knees
of Ca$h, stomping away at them, and then drops some elbows on Ca$h's
knees. Colucci is using anything in his power to further weaken the
knees of Ca$h, whom he has almost crippled previously. Now Colucci
tries to insure that he finishes what he started and permanently put
Ca$h out of wrestling. Colucci now goes outside of the ring, taking
a hold of Ca$h's foot, trying to work over the ankle, wrapping it
along the ringpost. Colucci's Comp Clique cohorts McClure and Walton
are ringside, cheering on their teammate.
As Colucci distracts the referee, McClure takes advantage of the
situation and slams Ca$h's knees into the ringpost, further weakening
it, and conveniently walking away as the referee's view turns back to
Ca$h. Colucci drags Ca$h to the center of the ring again, covering
him and hooking the leg, but Ca$h is still strong enough to kick out
at two. Colucci shows his frustration by kicking the back of Ca$h's
knees. Colucci wraps the leg of Ca$h around his own leg, wrenching
the knees again. Ca$h refuses to submit, and using his free leg, he
kicks Colucci in the ribs to break free, then kicks Colucci in the
face, showing his disdain for Colucci. Colucci not quite ready to
let go of Ca$h, but one final kick from Ca$h sends Colucci into the
corner turnbuckle. Ca$h attacks Colucci in the corner with a flurry
of punches to the gut of Colucci, as the referee admonishes Ca$h for
the use of the closed fist. Ca$h moves Colucci to the ropes and
sends him to the opposite side with an Irish whip, greeting Colucci
on the way back with a back elbow to the face, and brings him down
with a clothesline.
Ca$h slams Colucci, picks him up, but Colucci grabs at Ca$h's leg,
bringing him down. Colucci returns to attacking the bad leg of Ca$h
with some more elbows. Colucci wraps up Ca$h's bad leg with a
standing figure four leglock, putting more pressure on the bad leg of
Ca$h. C. Martin McClure offers a hand to Colucci to add even more
pressure to the hold. Colucci releases the hold to watch Ca$h
suffer. Colucci waits for Ca$h to make his way to his feet once more,
and then elbows Ca$h to send him right back down again. Colucci
covers Ca$h, but the referee is inadvertently distracted by McClure
outside the ring. However, thinking quickly, McClure shoves the
referee into position to count the pinfall, and Ca$h is unable to
kick out, and "Cadillac" Nick Colucci is the winner.
J-Ca$h is knocked out cold in the ring. the referee wisely checks
over Colucci for any hidden weapons, but is completely unable to find
anything, yet Ca$h is still down unconcious. Paramedics are called
to ringside to attend to J-Ca$h. Markus Maximus comes down to
ringside to offer any assistance to Ca$h, a locker room leader. Ca$h
is finally helped to the back by security, medical personnel and
Markus Maximus.
The former and final ACW Champion Sam Hayne, who defeated first-time
ACW Champion J-Ca$h to win the belt, takes on Tejas of the Comp
Clique. This marks the return to the ring of Hayne since his
retirement of the ACW Championship at Last Call in 2006.
At NWA WI's Warfare At Waverly Beach the previous night, Tejas proved
he had what it takes to be in the ring with a champion when he
battled and defeated 3-time former champion, Dysfunction. Now,
however, Tejas has a much bigger challenge as the demon Hayne has
been unleashed here tonight at Baba Louie's.
Tejas comes to the ring with his entourage of C. Martin McClure and
Thomas Walton III as he prepares for a true battle with Hayne.
As the saying goes, business is about to pick up as Sam Hayne is
introduced! Hayne slowly walks to ringside with Mystique by his
side, carrying two flaming torchs. Hayne enters the ring and
breathes fire, and Baba Louies fans can feel the heat of the blaze!
Tejas knows that if he wants to survive Hayne, he'll need to fight
Hayne using every dirty trick he knows. Tejas starts the match on
the offence, Irish whipping Hayne, Hayne reverses, goes for a
clothesline, which Tejas ducks, but Hayne doesn't miss the second
time, as he nails the tough Texan. Tejas quickly rolls outside the
ring, both to take a quick breather, but also to break Hayne's
momentum. Tejas gets some words of encouragement from the members of
the Comp Clique outside the ring. However, Hayne is not one to be
contented waiting on Tejas to re-enter the ring, and Hayne steps out
of the ring, taking the battle to the outside!
Tejas goes flying over several tables set up near ringside. Tejas
can give as good as he can receive, though, and slams Hayne into a
wall! Tejas continues to press the advantage against Hayne, keeping
him pinned against the wall with chops and then a series of punches.
Hayne and Tejas do battle all over the arena as Hayne is sent into
the first row of fans. Tejas lands a big elbow to Hayne, and the
referee desperately tries to steer this fight back into the ring.
Tejas finds himself in a world of hurt, as Hayne backdrops him onto
the hard ground. Tejas returns the favour, sending Hayne into
another wall, then grabs a whiteboard from a fan and breaks it over
the head of Hayne, shattering it into pieces with the force of the
blow. Tejas continues to punish Hayne, sending him into another
table. There is no doubt that Hayne is not going to be happy, and an
unhappy Hayne means a LOT of trouble for Tejas and the Comp Clique!
Tejas smashes Hayne over the head, but gets too close, and Hayne
chokes Tejas.
Finally, the two warriors bring their brawl back into the ring.
Tejas sets up Hayne for a vertical suplex, and immediately covers
Hayne, who kicks out at two. Hayne is not going to go down easily.
Tejas chokes Hayne again, forcing the air from the demon's lungs.
Tejas whips Hayne into the ropes and fells him with a clothesline.
Tejas drops an elbow on Hayne and covers him again, and again Tejas
fails to get the three count.
Tejas continues to choke out Hayne, draping his throat over the
bottom rope, and getting an assist from the outside as McClure and
Walton get a chance to lay in some licks on the monster Hayne, while
Tejas works to distract the referee from the interference of his
cohorts. Tejas kicks Hayne in the back, covers Hayne, but gets no
further than the last time, as Hayne kicks out again.
Hayne takes advantage of the surprise over Tejas' inability to keep
him down to regain the offence, coming off the ropes with a legdrop
on Tejas. Hayne, unlike ejas, won't try to pin Tejas. Instead,
Hayne wants Tejas to suffer. Hayne chokeslams Tejas, and now chooses
to cover Tejas, but only gets a two count.
Hayne whips Tejas into the corner, but gets a boot in his face when
he tries to follow up.
Tejas takes advantage with a punch to the head of Hayne. Both men
exchange right hand punches to the head, neither one giving any
quarter, neither one caring about anything but the war in the ring,
to include the helpless referee, as they shove him out of the way.
Suddenly, "Cadillac" Nick Colucci rushes to ringside, followed by the
McCoys and Ann Brookstone comes after Mystique, as the members of the
Comp Clique come to attack the demon Hayne. Mystique and Ann battle
in the ring, with a helping hand from Tejas and the McCoys beat down
on Hayne. It's a huge cluster in the ring, as Mystique and Hayne are
both choked out! Colucci, Tejas, Ann Brookstone and the McCoys brag
about besting the monster Hayne. However, even though you may bring
Hayne down, you can't keep him down long, and Hayne makes his way to
his feet, and is not happy at all. The Comp Clique scatter outside
the ring, while in the ring, Hayne gives "last rites" to an
unsuspecting Thomas Walton III, who again finds himself the victim of
Hayne.
NWA Wisconsin promoter Jason Jerry gets on the microphone and calls
ACW promoter Ben Johnson out, tellimg him that the fans at Baba
Louies and the fans of ACW want more of the demon Sam Hayne. Jason
insists that Ben bring Hayne back at the next show, November 10,
right here at Baba Louies. Ben Johnson proves he is capable of
making the big decisions, and since Nick Colucci felt he had to come
to ringside during Hayne's match, and since Colucci felt he had to
steal Hayne's ACW Championship belt, Ben is going to have Nick
Colucci battle Sam Hayne!
The main event for the evening is Champion vs. Champion action, as
the NWA Midwest X-Division Champion puts his title up on the line as
Jason Dukes battles the ACW X-Division Champion, Justin Dredd! The
crowd immediately yells, "Jason Dukes sucks", while rallying behind
Dredd, with a "Let's go, Dredd" chant.
The two champions start their match with a staredown in the center of
the ring, talking some trash to one another. The two begin to circle
around each other, like a jungle cat circling around his enemy. The
two try to lock up, and Dredd brings down Dukes, trying for a quick
(and very early) pin, hooking the leg of Dukes. Although Dredd gets
a two count, at this early stage in the match, it's mostly from
Dukes' surprise more than anything Dredd has done thus far.
Dukes now presses his own advantage, rolling over Dredd after a back
suplex, and getting a two count himself. The crowd is still chanting
for Dredd. Dukes heads to the outside, taking advantage of the
referee's count, while Dredd tries to goad Dukes to coming back into
the ring to fight. Dukes returns to the ring, and encourages Dredd
to a test of strength. Dukes and Dredd slowly lock up right hands,
then left. Dukes takes the early advantage here, bringing Dredd to
his knees. Dredd surprises Dukes by flipping him over, and
attempting a pin while he still has Dukes hands locked within his
own. Dukes kicks out, but is now aware that Dredd is not someone he
should be taking lightly if he wants to walk out of Baba Louie's with
his championship intact. Both wrestlers are now back on their feet.
Dredd once again displays his grace within the ring, flipping over
the shoulders of Dukes. Dukes swings at Dredd and misses. Dredd
rolls up Dukes for a pin, but is unable to keep the NWA Midwest X-
Division Champion down.
Dredd brings Dukes to his feet, and swings at him with a hard right
hand, staggering Dukes. Dukes attempts a clothesline and misses
Dredd. Dredd brings Dukes to the ropes, trying to bring Dukes down,
but Dukes moves out of the way, shoving Dredd at the same time,
sending him out of the ring. Dukes lands an elbow on Dredd from the
ring apron, both men collapsing to the ground as the referee begins
his count. Dukes regains his feet first, sending Dredd back into the
ring before re-entering himself, Dukes covers Dredd, hooking the leg,
but only gets a two count. Dukes stomps on Dredd, continuing to wear
him down. Dukes heads up to the second turnbuckle and drops a leg on
Dredd. Dukes now feels confident that victory is assured, hooking
the leg as he covers Dredd and so is naturally surprised when Dredd
kicks out, despite Dukes hooking the leg of Dredd for added
leverage.
Dredd attempts to regain the offence with a series of punches to
Dukes' ample midsection. Dredd's punches move to the face of Dukes
as he attempts to regain his feet, and Dukes, who has clearly had
enough of that, elbows Dredd in the face to slow him down a bit.
Dukes takes Dredd to the mat with a snap mare, settling into a rear
chinlock. The referee checks the hold to insure Dukes is not choking
his opponent. Dredd again tries to regain his footing via a series
of elbows to Dukes. Dukes is still holding on to the chinlock and
brings Dredd back down. Dukes relinquishes the hold to try to
elbowsmash Dredd, but misses. Dukes attempts a clothesline, and
misses that, as well. Dredd picks up Dukes in an atomic drop. Dukes
is in the corner in pain, but as Dredd charges at him, he wisely
applies a drop toehold, and Dredd gets a face full of turnbuckle for
his efforts. Dukes tries to take an offensive posture again,
grabbing at the head of Dredd, who punches Dukes in the gut to try to
take the advantage for himself. Dredd punches Dukes in the head as
he regains his footing. Dukes shoves Dredd back into the corner and
chops at his chest. Dukes sets up Dredd with an Irish whip, but
Dredd reverses, sending Dukes into the corner, instead. As Dredd
tries to press the advantage, the veteran Dukes again defends himself
with a back elbow to the face of Dredd. Dukes mounts the turnbuckle
and takes Dredd down once more, covering him with a hook of the leg
for added leverage, but only gets a two count.
Both men attempt to stand, and Dukes is first to his feet. Dukes
kicks Dredd right in the face. The crowd razzes Dukes, chanting
that he needs a bra for his less than muscular pecs. Dukes wisely
ignores the chants, continuing to punish Dredd. Dredd however is not
completely helpless, and breaks out some offensive manoeuvres of his
own with some elbow strikes and a kick to the midsection of Dukes.
Dredd continues to use elbow strikes to back Dukes into the ropes.
Sending Dukes into the ropes, he catches him in a sunset flip, but
only gets a two count as Dukes kicks out. Both men regain their
footing at approximately the same time, and Dukes wants to return to
the offence with an attempted clothesline, which Dredd ducks under.
Dredd takes advantage of the situation to hook Dukes' arm, and
backslide him in a pin attempt. However, this, too fails, and Dukes
is able to kick out.
As both men return to their feet, Dukes halts the momentum of Dredd
with a boot to the midsection, knocking the wind out of Dredd
momentarily. Dukes pushes Dredd back into the corner, and Irish
whips him into the opposite corner. Dukes charges at Dredd, and is
greeted by a boot from Dredd. Dukes, stunned but determined attempts
to charge at Dredd in the corner again, and again gets another boot
to the face in response.
Dredd is still in the corner and Dukes charges at him, but this time,
there's no one home as Dredd moves out of the way, sending Dukes into
the steel ringpost. Dredd covers Dukes and hooks his leg, but is
still unable to keep Dukes down for the three count. Dredd picks up
the weary Dukes to clothesline him, but misses Dukes. Dukes
capitalises, putting Dredd in a backbreaker, but neither man has
enough strength to follow up.
Dukes rolls over and tries to cover Dredd, but again is unable to pin
him. Both men get to their feet, and Dukes is back on the offence
with a back elbow to Dredd. Dukes moves to the ropes and somersaults
onto Dredd, but Dredd rolls through it into a pinning position, but
is only able to hold onto Dukes for a two count. The crowd gets
behind Dredd, chanting his name as he climbs the second turnbuckle.
Dukes, bleeding from the head, lies motionless on the mat, as Dredd
lands on Dukes, rolling him over for another pin attempt, but is
again prevented by Dukes.
Dredd picks up Dukes and puts him in a back suplex and bridges Dukes,
but Dukes rolls out. Still hanging onto the waist of Dukes, Dredd
suplexes him again and bridges Dukes' shoulders a second time, but is
again not able to keep Dukes down. Dredd climbs the turnbuckles
again, while the prone Dukes lies still on the mat. Dredd waits for
Dukes to get back to his feet, and then leaps at him with a flying
cross body block, covering Dukes for the pin, but overestimates his
momentum, and Dukes rolls through, pinning Dredd and retaining his
NWA Midwest X-Division Championship!
