NWA Wisconsin came up with yet another loaded show. Held at The Bar
in Green Bay at 606 Lime Kiln Road in Green Bay, this show brought out
more stars, more action and more surprises than most of their shows,
which is saying quite a bit. If you’ve never seen an NWA Wisconsin
show, or haven’t seen the Happy Hour shows on Time Warner InDemand, or
picked up a video or DVD, you are missing out. This promotion has an
excellent mix of up and comers and veterans, plus the usual assortment
of surprises.
The show started with the annual Halloween “Spookaroo” Battle Royal.
As is the case every year, the Spookaroo draws
some…unusual…personalities. This year was no exception as we saw
Little Bastard (Miss Anne); Little Spike Dudley (Ref Kyle); Kamikaze
J-Cash (J-Cash, spoofing NWA Wisconsin Alumnus Kamikaze Ken Anderson,
now known as Ken Kennedy); Jerry Cena (Jerry Stylz); and special guest
Daivari, among others, who won with the “Magic Carpet Ride”. However,
this was not Shawn Daivari, better known to WW fans as Khosrow
Daivari, but rather his younger brother Arya Daivari, whom has been
wrestling in his home state of Minnesota. After winning the match,
Daivari got on the microphone and thanked the fans of NWA Wisconsin
not only for bringing him in, but also for all the great years that
his brother had in the promotion.
After Daivari’s speech, Reverend Ben Johnson stepped to the center of
the ring to make the announcement that the main event of Horace the
Psychopath versus Sam Hayne would NOT happen to due Horace declining
at the last minute to show up. However, what Rev. Ben did not know,
was that Horace DID show up, and snuck up behind Rev. Ben, assaulting
him, prompting Sam Hayne to appear, accompanied by his valet, Mystique
and Red Lightning, a convert of Hayne’s. Hayne breathed fire, forcing
Horace back, when Adrian Lynch, another Minnesota wrestler, came to
the rescue of Horace. Lynch suggested that if Hayne wanted to have
Red Lighting along, then they should change the main event to a tag
team match with Hayne and Red against Horace and himself. Hayne and
Red agreed, leaving Lynch to attempt to communicate with Horace, who
slowly understood what Lynch was proposing and accepted him as a
teammate, setting the stage for the night’s main event.
The next match was a special challenge match of Jerry Stylz against
J-Cash. This match would set the stage for later in the night,
because if Stylz won the match, he would get to pick the lumberjacks
for his Lumberjack Strap Match later on in the evening. Stylz was
accompanied to the ring by his manager, Weezel and the lovely Cari
Lynn. J-Cash immediately took the offense, forcing Stylz outside the
ring to rethink his strategy. With the crowd heavily behind Cash, he
continued his offense, throwing Stylz back into the ring. A momentary
lapse in Cash’s offense allowed Stylz to clip Cash’s knee and turn the
tide of the match in his favor. However, J-Cash has been involved in
some of the most brutal matches in ACW/NWA Wisconsin history, to
include his match with Sam Hayne; Shane Hills; and Jesus Ramirez where
he had to defend the ACW Championship and the Dog Collar Match against
former tag team partner Shane Hills, so he quickly began to make a
recovery. Just as J-Cash was beginning to turn the tide of the match
back in his favor, Stylz’s partner in the “High-Fivin’ White Guys”,
Gotti came into the ring with a plastic baseball bat, and in a takeoff
on an Eddie Guerrero trick, tapped the referee on the shoulder, and
when Gotti was sure the referee was watching, clubbed Stylz with the
bat, who instantly fell to the mat in a heap as if he had been hit
with a wooden bat, causing an instant disqualification of J-Cash and
leaving Jerry Stylz the winner and able to choose his lumberjacks! A
furious Cash tried to explain that he had no part in the clearly
planned “attack” on Stylz, but to no avail.
Up next NWA Wisconsin newcomer “Bloody” Harker Dirge took on Pete
Sisco. This seemed to be a match made in heaven… (or hell, in the
case of Dirge…) Dirge is a wrestling vampire, and there are few
matches of Pete Sisco’s that do not involve one or both participants
bleeding at some point. However, the self-proclaimed “hardcore
superstar”, quickly ducked outside the ring at the sight of Dirge.
Dirge bared his fangs for the crowd before turning his attention to
Pete, who needed more than a little coaxing to get into the ring. It
was an interesting combination of styles between the two combatants as
Pete favored more hardcore style tactics and used his weight to his
advantage against Dirge, but Dirge proved he could hang against the
larger Sisco. Dirge took Pete’s offense and gave him some of his own,
scaling the turnbuckles to splash Pete. He then trapped Pete in an
inverted sleeper hold, but Pete escaped with an eye rake to Dirge.
Pete left the ring again, but returned with a chair, which was
promptly taken away from him. However, Pete wasn’t through with using
weapons and walloped Dirge with a chain to pick up the victory.
Then the first half main event began as the returning Horace the
Psychopath and Adrian Lynch entered the ring to await the arrival of
Sam Hayne and Red Lightning. Hayne arrived with Mystique and
Lightning following. Hayne took his staff from Mystique and blew a
fireball at Horace, causing both Lynch and Horace to beat a hasty
retreat from the ring. Once Hayne’s staff was extinguished, the fight
began. If you’ve ever heard the cliché of being at a fight when a
hockey game broke out, this could best be described as being at a
fight when a wrestling match broke out, as Horace immediately took
Hayne to the outside, brawling all over the arena. Hayne gave Horace
a suplex from the stairs and then Horace took Hayne to the tower chair
area, where the two brawled from the top of it. Horace attempted to
throw Hayne off the tower, but Hayne recovered, using a nearby pitcher
as a weapon. Then, Hayne attempted to throw Horace of the tower, and
almost succeeded, but Horace escaped. With the crowd firmly in
Horace’s corner, he attempted to choke Hayne with a nearby garden
hose. Back in the ring, Red Lighting was keeping Lynch occupied so
that Hayne could (in Hayne’s words) “end Horace’s life”. As soon as
Hayne and Horace got near the ringside area, Lynch jumped out to help
his partner, and Red Lightning followed, starting a four-way brawl
outside the ring. The four traded partners as Hayne battled Lynch
inside the ring, while Red Lightning was outside with Horace, but it
didn’t take long for Hayne to bring things back outside the ring.
However, Lynch was ready for Hayne, and bashed him over the head with
a steel garbage can from ringside, while inside the ring, Horace gave
Red Lightning a Samoan Drop for the pin.
After a brief intermission, the second half of the show began with
Reverend Ben Johnson introducing NWA Wisconsin Champion Dinn T. Moore,
who just recently returned from a stint in Missouri at Harley Race’s
World League Wrestling. Moore was interrupted by Jason Dukes, who
demanded a shot at Dinn T’s title. Before Dinn T had a chance to
reply, the current NWA Wisconsin X-Division Champion, Dysfunction,
came out to issue his own challenge for the belt, feeling that he
should be the number one contender as a result of his X-Division belt,
and called Dukes a fat ass. A Triple Threat Match was proposed and
accepted for the second half main event, with Dinn T’s NWA Wisconsin
Championship on the line.
In the Lumberjack Strap Match that was set up earlier in the night,
Jerry Stylz came out with his entourage of Cari Lynn, Gotti and
Weezel. In a surprise announcement, Stylz announced that his partner,
Gotti would be replacing him, and he would instead act as a
lumberjack. Then, J-Cash unveiled his own surprise, which was that HE
was also being replaced…by Gotti’s former tag team partner, “Cadillac”
Nick Colucci! Needless to say, it was a wild match stemming from all
the bad blood between Gotti and Colucci, and Gotti had some revenge
when Colucci was thrown out of the ring, due to the larger number of
people in Gotti’s corner. J-Cash tried to help his partner, but got
in the way just one too many times, and the referee ordered J-Cash to
the back, leaving an ecstatic Gotti and company. However, despite the
4 on 1 odds, Colucci fought back and won the match. J-cash, who was
watching from the back returned to the ring and challenged Gotti and
Stylz to a match. The match was agreed to for Baba Louies on November
3.
Next, Miss Anne comes to the ring, complaining about how her teams
here have not been winning matches for her, so she went and found a
team of ACW veterans, Marco Styles Cordova and tag team veteran from
“The All-Stars” in ACW with Bryce Benjamin and “Team Underground” with
another ACW veteran, “The Underwear Model”, Eric Priest. They would
face ACW legend “The Genuine Article” Chris Jordan and his partner
Pete Huge. They were accompanied by their valet, Allison Wonderland.
The crowd was behind the two ACW legends, Jordan and Huge in this
match, which was an excellent clinic of tag team wrestling from some
of the greatest tag team specialists in the Midwest. As always,
McClure stuck out the most with his excellent command of the rulebook.
The action in the ring was halted temporarily as a catfight broke
out between the two ladies, prompting a “catfight” chant in the arena,
and giving the opening needed by Jordan and Huge to deliver a double
facebuster for the win. It’s doubtful Miss Anne was happy about the
outcome of this match, and it’s unsure if she’ll bring in those two
again. Anne is on a quest for tag team gold in NWA Wisconsin, and she
needs a team that can successfully challenge for the straps, currently
held by Esteban Molina and Ricky Thomas.
The second half main event is now up, with Jason Dukes and NWA
Wisconsin X-Division Champion Dysfunction challenging Dinn T Moore for
the NWA Wisconsin Heavyweight Championship under Triple Threat rules.
The match started out with Dys shoving Dinn T in the corner to punish
him, and then Dukes would take a turn at smacking the hell out of Dinn
T. The two continued to double team Dinn T, but couldn’t seem to
agree on whom would pin him, with one wrestler covering Dinn T, and
the other throwing him off before the three count to pin Dinn T
himself. While Dukes and Dys argued, Dinn T mounted the top rope and
splashed both wrestlers, but only got a two count for his efforts.
Dysfunction is thrown into the corner and Dukes meets him with an
elbow. Dysfunction moves out of the way when Dukes tries the same
move again. With Dukes stunned in the corner, Dysfunction lands a
powerful superkick on Dysfunction, but again, only scores a two count.
Dysfunction and Dukes engage in a series of covers in an attempt to
end the match in their favor, and Dukes and Dys argue with each other,
leading to Dysfunction chucking Dukes outside the ring. Reverend Ben
Johnson rushes out to ringside with Dinn T’s NWA Wisconsin title belt,
dropping it in the corner of the ring as he scrambles to block a chair
shot by Dysfunction. Dinn T drops to the floor to save Ben, and kayos
Dysfunction with the NWA Wisconsin belt Ben had left in the corner.
With Dysfunction out of the way, Dinn T. rolls Dukes back into the
ring and pins him to retain the NWA Wisconsin Heavyweight
Championship. Dukes makes his way to his feet after the pinfall and
attempts to land a punch on Dinn T, who blocks the punch. Ben grabs
Dukes from behind and holds him for Dinn T, but at the last second,
Dukes ducks and Dinn wallops Ben. Dukes then surprises Dinn T with a
roll-up and pinfall, but as the match is already over, Dukes’ pin
does not count.
A great show from top to bottom, with two great main events and
several surprises.

In other NWA Wisconsin news, the new NWA Wisconsin shirts are in, and
they look fantastic! Departing with the traditional black, the shirts
are white with the NWA Wisconsin logo on the front, so they can be
autographed by your favorite NWA Wisconsin wrestler. Pictures will be
coming soon from Sharon, our NWA Wisconsin model, who was gracious
enough to model the shirts and hats for us. There are two different
styles, one is the regular men’s tees, in large and XL and the ladies
ribbed tank tops, which will be in sizes small-XL.
There are also new NWA Wisconsin ball caps, which are black and red,
and made of a nice, heavy fabric.
All these items are in stock presently, and can be purchased at any
NWA Wisconsin show, or any other show we are at, or email us about them.
We’re also still accepting pre-orders for the vintage style Kamikaze
Ken (Ken Kennedy) tees, which will be a limited edition of 48 total,
24 RED and 24 BLUE. These shirts are a huge hit in the
Milwaukee/Green Bay area that was Ken’s independent stomping grounds,
and as a result, are selling fast in the area. However, there are a
few left, but not much, and NWA Wisconsin has stated that they will
most likely never print these again, due to their not wanting to
over-saturate the market, so these shirts will be quite collectible.
Make sure to reserve yours now.
Look for an exciting Press Release from us stemming from the show coming soon!
