ACW/NWA (Wisconsin) recap 10/15   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #165 of 421 |
It's a busy month for ACW, as they will be at Rockwood at "The Big Apple" on the
29th of the month. In the meantime, let's turn things over to our Official SFP
Correspondent to ACW/NWA, "Superfan" Eric Swayniac, with his report on the
previous show.

ACW-NWA WRESTLING

The Bar in Appleton

Saturday October 15, 2005

Reported By: “Superfan” Eric Swayniac, Official SFP Correspondent to ACW/NWA
(NWA Wisconsin)

Hello again folks. It’s that time again to update everyone on the local
happenings of ACW-NWA from high atop the roofs of Green Bay. Let’s delve right
into the action:

1) Pre-Show Match: Nick Colucci vs. T-Bone
-This match was to determine who the next #1 Contender for the ACW X-Division
title would be. T-Bone was able to dominate from opening bell, taking the
action right to Colucci. At one point during the bout, Colucci was able to
mount a small offensive flurry only to be shut down with a low blow by T-Bone.
Eventually, Colucci was able to re-gain the upper hand & reverse control of the
bout back in his favor.
Winner: Nick Colucci via “Spinning Slam” (New ACW X-Division #1 Contender)

After the Pre-Show Match, Shortstack & commentator Ben Johnson continued the
Pre-Show with Shortstack calling out to the ring the ACW Heavyweight Champ
J-Cash. During his interview, ACW Promoter & Empire leader Jason Jerry came
out to complain about how J-Cash won the title at the last show. So, this time
he demanded that Cash re-match Quinson Valentino with the title on the line but
with two stipulations: the title could change hands via DQ, plus The Empire,
Shortstack, and Hills were banned from ringside. Also, to make things “fair”,
Jason appointed himself the Special Guest Referee & claimed he’d call it “right
down the middle”

2) Josh Maxim w/ Uncle Morty vs. Tejas
-This was Tejas’s first match back after being gone from ACW for quite some
time. Tejas was quickly able to establish control of the match, even causing
Maxim & Uncle Morty to have a “meeting of the minds” when the action spilled
outside the ring. Maxim attempted to make a comeback but it didn’t even last
long enough to make an impact.
Winner: Tejas via “Death Valley Driver”
Tejas grabbed a mic after the match, complaining as to the state of ACW since
he’s been gone, including downgrading the current NWA WI Champ Adrian Serrano.
Jason Jerry then grabbed another mic & promised Tejas a title shot at Adrian if
he was able to defeat Shane Hills later in the night.

3) Ruff Ryder Rashaan vs. Dysfunction
-The first exchange between the two combatants were armdrags which lead to
Triple R (his new nickname) trying to roll-up Dys for a pin only to
inadvertently cause Dys to moon the audience. Dys was eventually able to gain
control of the match using 2 low blows to create an advantage. Triple R was
able to mount a comeback towards the end of the match with the end result an
attempt at his Moonsault finisher only to have Dys move out of the way, leading
to Dys being able to slap on the STF.
Winner: Dysfunction via STF submission hold

4) Bobby V vs. Silas Young (T-Bone doubled as ref)
-Bobby came out to new music & brought along with him a mannequin’s head & was
talking to it (shades of WWE wrestler Al Snow). The first couple moments of
the bout could be summed up as “jockeying for position”. Bobby attempted to go
for an early victory with an armbar submission on Silas only to have Silas show
his brute strength, reversing Bobby into the turnbuckle from the mat. The
match spilled out to the floor where Bobby showcased his high-flying talents
with a Senton Splash to Silas outside the ring. As Bobby was attempting to
re-enter the ring from outside, his feet got caught on the ropes & Silas
capitalized on the mishap, sending Bobby crashing to the mat & landing square
on his shoulder. From there, Silas dominated the match until Bobby was able to
reverse with a double knee attack to Silas’s back. Bobby was able to make a
small comeback, but only until Silas reversed, set Bobby up for a Verte-Breaker
and put him in a leglock submission. Bobby was able to break of the hold, nail
an UnPrettier, and set Silas up for his finisher. But, Silas was able to move
out of the way, causing Bobby to crash to the mat below. Silas took quick
advantage of the situation to pin Bobby.
Winner: Silas Young via “Small Package” Roll-Up (T-Bone fast-counted the
pinfall)

At that point, Steve Stone’s music hit & he came down to the ring with two of
Sam Hayne’s “disciples”. During his promo, he blasted Jason Jerry with insult
after insult and promoted the NWA. Towards the end, he introduced Sam Hayne &
Mystique who revealed that the “disciples” were none other than Red Lighting &
Logan Lasher. Steve concluded by revealing Sam Hayne’s plan: to destroy ACW
from the inside out so that the NWA could take over. They would start with the
ACW Tag Title later that night.

5) NWA WI Title Match: Xavier Mustafa vs. Adrian Serrano
-To start off match, Adrian & Mustafa exchanged boxing punches with Adrian
gaining the upper hand due to his agility, speed and Ultimate Fighting
experience. Mustafa got fed up, went for some boxing gloves, and headbutted
Adrian as the ref was distracted. From there, Mustafa was able to dominate
over Adrian using his strength & size advantages. Adrian was able to mount a
small comeback only to be shutdown by a lowblow from Mustafa. From there,
Mustafa hit his “Olympic Slam” only to Adrian successfully kick out at 2.
Mustafa then went for a 2nd rope splash only to have Serrano move out of the
way & avoid contact. From there, it was easy for Serrano to take advantage of
the situation and put Mustafa in a submission hold for the victory.
Winner: Adrian Serrano via top rope armbar submission After the match, he
addressed Tejas’s complaining from earlier in the night.

6) Diego Corleone vs. La Cosa Nostra’s Don Gotti-It was the Italian-American
versus the “pure” Italian. Before match could get underway, Col. Tom was
checking over the participants & found a set of pliers hidden in Corleone’s
boots. While Don was being checked, Corleone attacked Gotti to start the bout.
Gotti was able to establish control of the bout until Corleone used dirty
tactics, raked Gotti’s eyes & reversed control. To maintain control, Corleone
even tossed Gotti outside the ring where Corleone’s manager, “Greaseball”
Paulie Palermo cheap shotted Gotti. Don was able to reverse control of the
match until once again, Palermo distracted the ref & Corleone hit a lowblow on
Gotti.
Winner: Diego Corleone via “Running Reverse DDT”

7) ACW Tag Title Match: Steve Stone & Red Lighting vs. Lone Wolf & Berzerker
-Lone Wolf & Berzerker or Pleasure & Pain as they like to be called, attacked
Stone & Red from behind, but when they quickly reversed control, Lone Wolf &
Berzerker retreated to the outside of the ring. Red & Stone decided to take
the fight to Lone Wolf & Berzerker, hitting them both with Baseball Slides,
taking the fight outside the ring temporarily. With this move, they were able
to gain control until Berzerker hit “The Pounce” (shades of TNA’s Monty Brown)
on Red. This is where Pleasure & Pain were able to gain temporary control with
a tag to Lone Wolf until Red was able to reverse. With another tag to
Berzerker, Pleasure & Pain were able to re-gain control of the match until a
mid-ring collision led to fresh tags for both teams. Stone came into the ring,
taking on both Berzerker & Lone Wolf at one time. To maintain control, outside
interference from Logan Lasher took out Berzerker allowing Stone & Red to focus
on Lone Wolf.
Winners: Steve Stone & Red Lighting via “Complete Shot” DDT and NEW ACW Tag Team
Champions) After the victory, Sam Hayne brought out a trash can. Citing “that
was the first step to getting rid of ACW permanently”, Stone & Red tossed the
belts into the trash.

8) Tommy Courageous vs. Busty Loads
- Busty was able establish control of the bout first, which quickly spilled
outside the ring amongst the crowd. While coming back into the ring, Tommy was
able to reverse control of the match and began focusing on Busty’s midsection.
After some domination by Tommy, there were 2 quick reversals of control with
Busty getting the first but Tommy shooting right back to Busty’s midsection to
re-gain control. Towards the end of bout, Busty tried to make a comeback by
“Bustin Up” (think Hulk Hogan’s “Hulking Up”) and dropping an Atomic Legdrop,
but Tommy kicked out and applied a surprise DDT for the win.
Winner: Tommy Courageous via DDT

After this match, Ms. Anne, Dredd’s manager, came out to the ring with a bouquet
of flowers and requested a microphone. She said she had something important to
say & she needed to say it to one individual: Shortstack. He came out to the
ring where Anne proceeded to tell him that what he did to her at the last show
really turned her on to his charms & since it was Sweetest Day, she wanted to
give him a present: a lead pipe shot to the midsection that she drew from out
of the flowers. This brought out Dredd, who continued the punishment on
Shortstack. Nick Colucci from La Cosa Nostra came out to make the save for
Shortstack who, in turn, challenged Anne to a match at the next show on October
29.

9) ACW X-Division Title Match: Justin Dredd vs. Nick Colucci
-Colucci making the save for Shortstack prompted the immediate start to this
title bout between the two. Colucci was able to gain control, but when he went
to knock Dredd over the top rope to the outside, Dredd shortbridged him, causing
Colucci to go instead. Fight continued outside as Dredd dove off the top
turnbuckle to the floor. While Dredd distracted the ref, Anne came from behind
to attack Colucci so that Dredd could keep control for the remainder of the
match. Towards the end, Colucci mounted a small comeback which ended with him
landing a swinging neckbreaker type move from the top turnbuckle. To aid & add
further insult to injury, Greaseball Palermo came out to ringside and distracted
the ref, which prompted Diego Corleone to hit Colucci in the head w/ his
baseball bat, knocking him senseless for Dredd to pick up an easy win.
Winner: Justin Dredd via Corleone’s help. Don Gotti came out after match &
challenged Diego to a Handicap match for next show for sticking his nose in La
Cosa Nostra’s business.

10) Tejas vs. Shane Hills
-This match was made earlier in the night by Jason Jerry as Tejas’s chance to
earn his title shot at Adrian Serrano & the NWA WI Title. Hills was able to
gain the early advantage but Tejas quickly retreated to the outside. While
attempting to bring Tejas back into the ring, Tejas used the ringropes to his
advantage & switch control in his favor. From there, Tejas started focusing on
one of Hills’ knees to keep him grounded so that Shane couldn’t utilize his
strength. Hills was able to mount a small comeback & went for his “Hillbilly
Slam” but because of his knee was unable to execute the move, leaving him
vulnerable to a rollup by Tejas.
Winner: Tejas via “Small Package” Roll-Up (earns shot @ NWA WI Title)

11) Main Event ACW Heavyweight Title Match: J-Cash via Quinson Valentino
-First came out Jason Jerry, Empire Leader & ACW Promoter. He was the
self-appointed Special Guest Referee for this title defense. The match got
underway with Quinson gaining control of the match only to have J-Cash reverse
it. This in turn sent Quinson to the outside where J-Cash took the fight to
him, focusing on Quinson’s right arm. Through his use of dirty tactics,
Quinson found a way to re-gain control of the match and through continuous use,
kept the match in his favor even when Cash would try to mount some sort of
comeback. At one point, Quinson had J-Cash propped on the top turnbuckle and
hit him with a low blow, but Cash was able to reverse the attempted Superplex
by pushing Quinson onto the mat & hitting a legdrop. Match spilled back out to
ring floor where referee Jason Jerry got momentarily distracted, which was just
enough time for Quinson & Cash to roll back into the ring. Quinson attempted to
use brass knuckles, only to have Cash use them on him. Jason almost called the
match but after much persuasion from the fans, let the match continue. This
infuriated Quinson who turned right into a waiting J-Cash, who surprised
Quinson with the “Cash Flow”, proving Cash’s motto that “Sooner Or Later,
Everyone Comes Into A Little Cash Flow”.
Winner: J-Cash via “Cash Flow”. Very quickly after match ended, a free-for-all
ensued with first The Empire coming out to attack J-Cash, then Hills &
Shortstack & other ACW members to fend off The Empire, and finally ended with
the NWA invasion led by Sam Hayne to clear the ring. During the fray, Sam was
able to grab the ACW Heavyweight title, tossed into yet another garbage can,
and blew his infamous fireball into the air as a symbol to the forecoming end
of ACW.

Well everyone, that does it for another edition of ACW-NWA wrestling. Until
next time, which will be October 29th in Rockwood @ The Big Apple, this is the
“Superfan” saying: “Enjoy the Party”
