If you weren't at the two day "Road for the Gold" event for ACW last
weekend, you missed out! Just like WrestleMania, this was a full
weekend event, Friday and Saturday, to crown a new ACW Champion,
after the departure of former champion, "Kamikaze" Ken Anderson, who
accepted a WWE contract, caused the title to be vacated.
The fans saw plenty of action, and plenty of faces old and new from
ACW's past, including numerous former ACW and NWA Champions such as
Adrian Lynch, Kevin Kreuger, Dysfunction and Silas Young, all seeking
to get the recognition that goes with the gold. Champions from other
federations also joined in the fray, as former Midwestern States Pro
Wrestling Champion, "Metalhead" Steve Stone challenged Lone Wolf in
the first bracket of the championship tournament.
Besides the 16-man tournament, in other action across the two night
event, we saw Spanish Stew, aka NWA Wisconsin Tag Team Champions Dinn
T. Moore and "El Vato" Jose Guerrero battle ACW Tag Team Champions,
Ruff Ryder Rashan & J-Cash, Shortstack defended his ACW X-Division
Championship, and we had mixed tag action, as well with Dana Hilton
stepping in the ring to take on Jaci Johnson!
At the end of the two-night event, when the dust settled, ACW owner
Jason Jerry crowned QUINSON VALENTINO of Toronto, Canada as the new
ACW Champion.
Don't forget, Shadow Fire Promotions is an official distributor of
ACW merchandise, so if you missed the show and want a copy of the
video event, just ask! Also available now is ACW's Greatest All-
Stars, which includes two matches never before seen on video, King
Kong Bundy vs. Angelo Stefano and Jerry Lynn vs. Pat "Simon Diamond"
Kenney.
