As some of you might know, I just returned from Virginia where I attended the SE Equestrian Trails Conference http://www.southeasternequestriantrails.com/
It was a great meeting and I learned a lot. I encourage you to attend the following SETC conferences and represent Florida's Trails. We will host the conference again in 2009!!
Congressman Bob Goodlatte (VA-6) was a speaker and he emphasized the necessity for all of us that value horse access on Federal public lands to fax (preferred) or e-mail our FL Congressman Mel Martinez as well as all of the Senators on the following committee
Just do it!!! and pass it around to your friends and family in the other states where the members live...it only takes a second. I asked Mr. Goodlatte if our e-mails really count and he said YES, but faxes are better...they all count. If you search on-line, you will see other (non horsey) trail groups encouraging their members to vote AGAINST this bill. The President of the American Horse Council was also a speaker, click the following for the form letter to use.
