Justin "Boomer" Herndon is a 6'11 center prospect from Donelson
Christian Academy in Nashville. He was reportedly offered by
Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee. By most, he's considered a mid-
major or borderline high-major prospect. Will take some hard work to
be a major impact player at UT, but will certainly fill a needed role
on the team by providing some serious size in the post.

whether Boomer committed to UT before or after Ted Skuchas, a more
heavily recruited center prospect, committed to Vanderbilt.
Ultimately, both coaches got what they wanted, though.
