Well, we finally made it home, to our own home!! Tomorrow makes 2
weeks Sean has been home. He is doing well and progressing with home
health therapy. He is scheduled to start outpatient therapy at Touro
on the 23rd. It is so nice to see his face when I wake up in the
morning, and of course, we are doing a lot of cutting up. We always
did have fun together and that has not changed. Sean's legs are
still getting stronger. He actually saw something new in his arms as
well. He was able to hold his arm against gravity. His occupational
therapist held his arm in the air and as it started to fall Sean was
able to stop it and hold it in the air for a few seconds. He was so
excited when I got home from work, it made me happy to see him
excited about something. He is taking phone calls, on his phone. He
has an earpiece, so if someone calls I push the button to answer the
phone and he uses his earpiece. So, if anyone wants to give him some
words of encouragement, please give him a call. If he does not
answer, please leave a message and he will call back. Please know
that when we do not answer the phone, there is a reason. We will do
our best to return a call within a reasonable amount of time, so
don't call and curse me out like one such individual did over the
weekend. Our lives are very hectic right now and we are doing our
best to keep everyone updated one way or another. One night when we
have the time, I plan on sitting down with Sean and sharing all of
the nice messages everyone has posted on his page. You all have been
a source of comfort, especially for me over the past 5 months and no
words can express how grateful I am for your kind words of
encouragement. Please know that Sean is determined to recover from
this and as well all know, once he sets his mind to something, he
doesn't stop until he gets what he wants. No one knows that better
than I do, and that is what keeps me positive. I will do my best to
keep you all updated. As always, we thank everyone for your kind
thoughts and prayers. Please keep them coming.
