Here is some important information concerning fundraising for the SCSSA, mainly concerning skating at Lakewood, which effects most of us.

Ice Cost:  For what it is worth, it is important to understand that at the current rate, we pay $487.00 per session for ice time.  That works out to about $6.50 per minute of time on the ice.  This is why funraising is so important to all of us.  Simple math shows that we either do fundraising, or loose sessions, or raise fees. 

Having said that, one fundraising venture is paying off, even if in a small way.  That is the kickback donations that we receive from shopping at Ralphs and Albertsons.  Sylvia has the information on Albertsons, but I have the information on Ralphs.  For the past three months, we have received from Ralphs a payment of  $43.71.  That is pretty good, concerning that we had to do zero work to get it that money.   Below is a table showing who participated, and how much they earned for the SCSSA.

There are two upcoming opportunities for fundraising by the DeMorra club.  First is a Bake Sale to be held in 2 weeks at the Ralphs by the rink (announcement to follow from DeMorra).  Second is the annual Ice Club DeMorra Car Wash on Labor Day weekend.  Again, details will be announced by DeMorra.  Please participate in these fundraisers!

If you are participating in the Ralphs Community Contribution Program, be aware of the following notice from Ralphs:

All of your members who are currently enrolled in the Ralphs Community Contribution Program will remain active until August 31, 2007.  Members will be required to register for the new term at www.Ralphs.com that will be effective on September 1, 2007.

For those of you who are not enrolled in either the the Ralphs program, or the Albertsons Program, please enroll!  It takes only a minute to do online, and the money comes in automatically!  For Ralphs, you must have a Ralphs (Discount) card, which saves you money at the same time!  I am assuming that the same applies for Albertsons (check with Sylvia for details about the Albertsons Program).   For Ralphs, the confirmation that the money is being credited is on the store receipt, with the words "Thanks for giving to your community" at the bottom.  If you think you have enrolled, but you are not on the list below, then perhaps re-enroll at http://www.Ralphs.com .
