Just a reminder to everyone that the California State Championships
are being held this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14th and 15th. It is a
two day meet, with awards being given on Sunday, at Ice Station
Valencia. Saturday's check in time, at Glacial Gardens, in Lakewood,
ends promptly at 4:30 pm. Sunday's check-in time, at Valencia, ends
promptly at 10:15 am. The deadline for entering the meet is
Wednesday, Feb. 11th. There is a $10 late fee and no guarantee that
you will be in the best racing group for late entries. Entries are
available for on-line registration at calstategames.org or you can
print one up from our website at socalspeedskating.org. Some skaters
are going to Magic Mountain on Sunday, after the meet, as Monday is a
holiday, and tickets are available at Ice Station Valencia for a
discount. Let's have full participation and make this a great State
Championships! Remember, everyone who is not skating has to help to
make this meet work!
