Super results from Day 1 at Junior Worlds.
Coach Boomstra and three Southern California Skaters made the trip to Quebec Canada. Here are some of the highlights:
- US Men's relay team with JR, Jonny and Eddy advanced from heats to semis and will race in the finals tomorrow. GO US!
- JR Celski won the 500 with a new Jr World Record (by my calculation) of 41.462. Way to Go JR!
- Jonny had a fantastic day placing 14th in the 1500 and 21st in the 500.
- Eddy had a strong showing with a 30th place finish in the 1500 and a 47th place finish in the 500.
Good luck to all of our skaters and Coach Boomstra in Day2.
