I believe the crescent shaped seating behind 'home plate' were also
football only. These seats do not appear in any photos in my
collection of ballpark reference books.

For Shibe Park I have never seen diagrams like the fine set for Yankee
Stadium. I do have a 1921 Sanborn for Shibe Park.Â
Regarding the Yankee Stadium diagrams-Note the Lower Stand field level
diagram with both the baseball and football fields shown includes in
what was the outfield for baseball additional seats installed for
football. By comparing photos of 1937-73 Yankee Stadium with the
diagram of the Lower Stand, it was possible to identify the football
only seating sections. On the Lower Stand diagram the sections A-L and
the boxed seat type area below (meaning closer to the field) sections
G, H, J and L are football only seating.

Wonder if diagrams like these exist for Shibe Park?
